I massively, massively doubt it considering all the comments about "original". It's probably an updated Minibrute, maybe they added an extra OSC or two.

Re: Size doesn't matter... or does it?

I find all the dedicated MIDI controller keyboards out there very cheap and not conducive to playing as a musical instrument. Don't buy the cheap ones then. if crisp keyboard action is what you're after it's probably not the best idea to look for vintage gear  I personally feel that software s...

Re: For loveliness and money

Funnily enough, SATB would be returning to my roots. I grew up playing and writing contrapuntal music (eg. fugues), so 3-4 part harmony and counterpoint doesn't put me off - in fact, I find it easier than writing electronica. It was new to me at the time  Once you're more familiar with the the...

Re: For loveliness and money

Why thanks, Optimus! I might try and work myself into doing a choral / electronica piece at some point. Choir stuff in the 4 part tonal history is not actually that hard once you know some of the rules and get down and dirty with it. Just don't do what I did which was write the music first then ass...

Re: DSI Introduces the Mopho SE

Would like to add on that the market for these sub-cheap monosynths with no keys and poor CV integration is NOT YOU.

They almost certainly built these things at the size and price they are for the bedroom/macbook producer types who want "some of that authentic analogue sound on their produKKKtions"

Re: DSI Introduces the Mopho SE

Is negatively attacking other members really necessary? How about posting something positive or at least constructive instead of belittling everyone all the time, you are a mod after all. Constructive posts get constructive replies. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing that lots of analog synths ar...

Re: was the pro 5 the only funk synth

It's the only funk synth in that it's 100% the best funk synth ever made and probably the only polysynth worth buying ever.

Also requesting the video of that P-funk band with the 4 Pro5's in their video

Haha what a shame it's in the hands of a talented recording artist who might use it on popular records and widely appreciated music instead of sitting in a dungeon having covers of the blade runner soundtrack played on it endlessly.

Re: Equipment for a beginner?

In my experience from owning a pair Sr60's have s**t build quality, clamp onto you like a headcrab and don't even really sound that good.

They basically disintegrated in front of my eyes.

I'm pretty sure you can do that with beat detective as well (I haven't tried it though, I don't use PT that often)

I don't see why you'd need swing on live audio for sequenced drum samples anyway but eh, the option IS there. :)

Sorry I know this is OT for the thread but.

I actually don't know of a DAW that doesn't have a swing function somewhere. PT, Cubase, Renoise, Reaper, Ableton live, FL studio and Reason will all do it.

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued

missing the point of a drum machine entirely. I thought the point of drum machines was to make drum sounds. I'm probably wrong though. I've been posting begs for a moog analog drum machine in every "what should Moog make..." thread I have seen. It isn't that I think Moog's old synth drums were anyt...
