Re: korg m500 micro preset how much

I think a 700s reissue would be cooler than that. Always kinda liked the dual filter korg sound.

Re: help! need to leard how to creat/obtain similar sounds

The high alien voice is most definitely not a synth it's a by product of sampling soul vocals the RZA/Kanye style. Increasing the BPM with no regard to pitch. So you take something with a powerful vocal with a ton of vibrato and speed it up/pitch it up. it goes from this. http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Cumulus wrote:...round up 40 homeless people and offer them some Old English if they'll sing for you.
Even better just do the ol' "multi-track yourself until your throat falls out of your mouth" trick.

Spoiler: You need a sick voice though.

Re: How to get the classic choir sound?

You should really make sampling an option if that's the sound you want. My favourite is mellotron choir samples mixed thin and wet. https://soundcloud.com/tekkentool/subwoofa-1/s-smGkG These are the mellotron choir samples that come stock with kontakt 4+ HPF'd a bit. They're so thin and insubstantia...

Re: Big Synthesizers and the Modern Apartment

Where I live now I have to move furniture if I want to do pushups. My 88 key controller is basically as much as I can manage. Even then it sometimes has to double as a desk. :D :) :| :( :?

I understood perfectly but I think it's more worrisome you'd look at an image comparing AG's visage to Justin bieber and assume any part of it is remotely serious. ;)

Re: New Novation Bass Station?

I'd like to try it out first before I even thought about buying one though as I really went off the Mopho very quickly and sold it. If it's anything like the original then I might like it. As pretty as that picture is you have done tekkentool, i'm not sure what you are getting at. Taking the piss o...

Re: FM -- four song EP -- now available on SoundCloud...

There's a couple of fm8 fans around the forums...CS for one. (Calling him a fan of FM8 would be silly though, it's more like a fetish) Having a listen, some cool little bits of programming here and there. The snappy snare/clap on daily affirmations is kinda neat, bit muzak-ish at points but I like w...

OP-X II is synthedit and I don't think I've seen anybody actually complain about the sound on that one.

Re: Module Geek Out!

I wish more electronic bands used real drummers. Some songs sound good with drum machines, but I usually prefer a drummer. I find it more interesting in the opposite, when a group that would usually use acoustic drums suddenly gains the monster kicks and snares of electro. (or subdued IDM influence...

I think they were hit and miss in the 70's then lost the bat and started facing backwards sometime in the 80's but that's just my opinion man. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
