Re: XP-30 vs XP-80

Cheers braincandy. Great help. I'm all about sound quality/ expression. I don't mind the extra weight if it gives me better sounds. But from what you are saying, you don't notice any real difference with the XP-30? Taking into account the expansions and better display, I guess I can't go wrong with ...

XP-30 vs XP-80

Just wanting some opinions on which is the better synth. I'm not concerned about the sequencer, as I record externally.

I'm wondering which one suits best live performance, ease of use, quality of sounds, tweakablity of sounds etc.

Thanks guys.

Just seen you are from Tassie. Nice to know there's at least one other Aussie on this forum.

Re: A synth to meet my needs

Paugui, that's great help. Thanks for taking the time.

Looks a bit harder to find Alesis gear here in Oz... compared to say Roland, Yamaha etc.

Re: Young Lovers

Great stuff mate. Loved the pan and delay on those snare hits (that is what you did, right?)

Re: A synth to meet my needs

Looks and sounds like a fantastic machine. I just checked with my local music store here in Perth. They retail the JUNO-Di here in Australia for $1499. That's a little beyond my budget! However, I'm going to investigate buying one from the USA. Can anyone recommend a good webstore listing them...

Re: A synth to meet my needs

Thanks guys,

I will investigate the Juno Di. It seems like a sensible option for me. I presume it would have the edge over the XP-30?

Cheers,

A synth to meet my needs

Hi All, First let me say, excellent website and very informative forum. I have learnt a lot so far. I have another "what synth should I buy" question, and I know that may annoy the h**l out of you guys. However, I will provide as much info as I can, so you can help me best. I have a Roland RD-700GX ...
