Re: Drunken studio fumble

This is awesome...love the bitcrushed drums and has a great swing. That lead sound is excellent. Smooooth. What do you use for the drum effects; particularly the beat repeat (or was that just delay?)/glitchy sounding stuff?

Re: I want to hire a TR-909, can you help?

There are 909 samples all over the place. You could probably buy a decent sample pack for less cash.

The goldbaby ones are good in my experience. They have TR909 sampled from tape and also the classic mpc-60, etc.

A synth being less "raw" and "fat' just because of patch storage? I think that's more because anything older (and less likely to have patch storage) is always perceived as "phatter", "lusher", "warmer", "ejaculatory-er", what have you.

Re: Finally got a song up! (Peal)

I thought it was pretty good. Liked the guitar and bass tones a lot, and good job with all the layering...sounds tight. Has a very relaxing feeling to the melodies. The only thing I thought was kinda weak and a tad cheesy were the bass and snare drum. It just doesn't fit with what everything else is...

Re: how to sync analog LFO's

 If you PC fanbois wanna b***h about macs how about starting a new thread, instead of pissing all over this one which is about syncing analogue LFOs. You're right, got a bit carried away there. However I'm no PC fanboi (just had to use an "i" didn't you ) and you kind of started the disc...

Re: how to sync analog LFO's

Cubase makes me think Mac and proprietary crapola for some reason. I always thought Cubase was just used by people who wanted to use Logic but couldn't afford a mac, which is why Cubase is dropping off as a popular sequencer as people realise that macs aren't actually expensive for what you get. An...

Re: MS2000r arpeggio issues

As long as the esx is getting a midi clock signal from somewhere on the midi in port the arps should work. If it doesn't work it's because it's not getting anything so you should check the way you're hooking everything up. Both the esx and ms2000 can also be set to "auto" for clock so the arp will s...

Re: MS2000r arpeggio issues

Yeah but then the ESX won't be triggering his MS2K anymore...which is what I assume he wants to do. In which case it would probably be better to leave the ESX as the master clock and sync the PC to it or to record the ESX's midi tracks to his DAW.

Re: MS2000r arpeggio issues

OK so you have the PC as the master clock to the esx and the MS2k is hooked up the ESX's midi out, and being triggered by the ESX right? Do you have the MS2K's midi clock to set to auto or external? If it's set to external, then the arp won't work until it gets a clock signal...which the ESX isn't p...

Re: MS2000r arpeggio issues

So you're using the the recording software as the midi master, correct?

If so, make sure your MS2000 is hooked up in that chain.

The Absynth manual is in a pdf file. It should be wherever you installed Absynth.
