Re: Anyone remember Music Technology magazine?

Love the older issues of "The Music Technology Magazine" ... which, thankfully, quickly dropped the "The" and "Magazine" parts :) There was just so much tech info packed into those mags. One of my favs is the September 86 (Volume 1, #2) issue and I still remember opening it for the first time (a lon...

Re: Moog Modular Ownet Manual

Howdy, Sorry for the late reply, but I have some info that may interest you. My Moog included a nice guide tucked into a box called "Setting up your Moog Synthesizer - A guide to Installation and Operation of Synthesizers I, II and III." 16 pages, 1970, published by R.A. Moog Inc., it contains secti...

Re: Organizing your synths

Sorry for the delay - I've put up a few photos of some of my slatwall installation in a new blog post. It didn't really fit my Retro Synth Ads blog, so I started a new blog - Retro Synth Labs. (See what I did there  ) While writing the post, I came across the realization that I should have done...

I have yet to see any slatwall-ed synth action that's NOT in guitar center.
Actually, that's a great idea for a blog post... give me a week to take a few good photos.

Re: Organizing your synths

Ha. I was going to quote that same bit of advice. Yeah, at some point I realized I wasn't building a studio; I was collecting synthesizers. It was getting to the point of being uncomfortable to work and difficult to connect everything at once or remember HOW everything was hooked up- even with my p...

Re: Finding inspiration by changing the setup

If you are going to buy a new synth, I agree with the two previous posts... the Evolver will definitely start getting the creative juices flowing for electronic music. Especially if you like programming. Or, if you really want to be adventurous with programming, try buying an older Yamaha FM synth (...

Re: Information needed for my Kawai K5000s please.

Hadn't pushed the power button on my K5000r in ages until I read your post. :D According to the start-up screen, mine is version 4.00. I took a look online and found an old K5000 page that pulled together some info, including version 4 features/fixes - hopefully this is a start for you... http://bel...

Re: Moog DSC Digital Sequential Controller ?

After posting the ad on my blog, I've had a few people ask for more information on the DSC - but no one has offered any new information yet.

I've sent questions to a few friends and am scanning some more old mags to see what turns up. Will see... :(
