I haven't seen it on too many DSS-1s but, supposedly a filter mod can be done on them similar to the Poly-800 and DW8000. So they say over at Circuitbenders.co.uk

Can't remember which synth it shares filters with tho

I've pretty much abandoned all hope of finding a SquareWave Parade Downgrade or FW Sonic Alienator (reasonably priced) and I'm thinkin the Noise Swash would make for a decent alternative. the synth II sounds great - that i loved about it, but it's sequencer kind of sucks in comparison to a x0x or a future retro. I've got a kraftzwerg and I love the way that thing sounds. I guess the previous owner had attempted some Nova mods on it and was somewhat succesful but, IMO it's more valuable fully functional in leui of being mutilated.
