Re: non working euro modules

On the power supply distribution boards there is usually a keyed socket so the wiring harness cannot be installed wrong. I have no idea why manufacturers don't put these on modules.

Re: non working euro modules

I realized that ı did -12v connection wrong:( and the result is dead rubicon. is there way to retrieve rubicon? That was going to be my suggestion, polarity revered. Most manufacturers realize this is an easy mistake, and should have a circuit protection diode and fuse in place. Inspection and repl...

It's called Cyber Terrorism, with the goal of spreading fear and apathy via the internet and to disrupt the free exchange of ideas and information. I don't give a s**t and will continue to use the forums normally.

Re: Was the DX7 used in When I Hear Music? Plus more.

He also says about the Prophet 5 and Emulator. The Emulator could be the for the bells, which if this was true, they might be sampled from a DX7 or Synclavier. Very interesting. Wish we could phone Pretty Tony. That part of the quote read "After that it was “Jam the Box,” which went double platinum...

Re: Was the DX7 used in When I Hear Music? Plus more.

At the time freestyle was THE dance club synthesizer music, along w/ techno-pop remixes by Depeche Mode, New Order etc. Freestyle had been on every single bass comp cassette all through the 80s. Cheesy lyrics aside, It sounds damn good in the car and sold a crapload of car stereos through the late 8...

Re: Juno-106 Rejuvenating Wave Generator Chips

I've had about an 80-90% success rate acetone-stripping chips. Else something happens like a leg breaks away, or the secondary layer of black goo from h**l. One nugget I can now pass along after having done 3 or 4 106s is the outer black resin can be carefully grinded away from the 3 edges of the ch...

Re: Neuron vs. Fizmo vs. K5000 vs. Morpheus vs. FS1R

I've owned a Fiz, K5000, and Neuron VS Nuke. If I had a choice I would go for the Fizmo again, or maybe give the Morpheus a whirl. The Neuron thing is cool since, as a re-synthesizer, you can prepare new models from samples. And that's just where the fun begins as well as a steep learning curve. Muc...

Re: How do you feel about mini-keys

mini-keys are convenient when space is a factor. This is a very personal preference thing. I too used to have a Microkorg and gave it a shot. But I have big man hands and mini- and slim-keys greatly decrease my fun factor and I could never get used to them. Great sounding pieces. I have parted ways ...

Re: WTB: Solina "C" key, light assembly

I check Syntaur almost daily, they are out of most the keys for the SE-IV...the Eminent B-417 keys are different but they have loads go figure. I recently came across an organ parts company in UK that had the key, but I lost the link.

Re: Garranimal's Tracks

Haha, thanks...I think. :) I honestly don't know why this stuff doesn't get more hits, either. Gotta hand it to Stabby for making such a unique and inspiring module.
