Re: Synth Documentaries
The Synth Britannia was part of a series of the documentaries made for BBC 4. Also in the series was Punk & Prog Britannia, which maybe of interest to some people. While somewhat enjoyable, I found the self-congratolatory, "Britain as the centre of the creative universe" tone the films had kind of a...

Re: It's Techno Amateur Hour!
I see what your getting at. Don't get me wrong, I like techno, especially the early Detroit stuff. It's just not something I hear a lot of these days, not going to clubs and raves as much as I use to. Of course, a big trancey lead its going to ruin a track like this. But maybe something subtle, the ...

Re: Do You Keep a Synth Just For One Special Sound?
I have a Sequential Circuits MAX, its a little broken, noisy and covered in rust. Still, It uses the same CEMs found in some old upright video games, so it does those kinds of effects well. I don't have a Defender machine to hand, but I'm sure it sounds the same.

Thats about 1500 under what you'd pay for the real thing, I reckon.

Re: Synth Technicians and Repairs
On the first page of this post back in 2005, Mr Rich mentioned a Roy Harrison of West Yorkshire, UK. Does anyone know if Roy is still available? Also are his contact details correct?
