Re: Making Some House in My Studio...

Yeah I just went with that plasti-"K" sound, gives a very unique timbre I'd say. Vintage beatboxes nobody likes combined with a Radias imitating a JX-3P, lol. Those strings are wierd. I'm going to looking into it becuase some other fishy things are going on with Cubase that I don't like. Paramaters ...

I feel the same way. Confusing... I think the attack may be too slow... :?

But yeah, that other lead line is the Radias. ;)

Making Some House in My Studio...

Hey guys, I don't think I've ever posted around here, so here goes! This is a house track I kinda messed with. Everything is sequenced in Cubase LE4, and all I'm doing is adjusting levels, muting stuff in and out, etc. Radias, TR-505, TR-626, RX5, JX-3P (not used, but it's there [MIDI isn't too grea...

Re: ununsual and non-conventional effects on synths.

I'm feelin' kinda lame, I got Radias filters and effects, vocoder... and a talkbox lying around that I use occasionally, more or less as a badass distortion pedal, I rarely even use the tube, lol

Re: Which synth should I get for $700 or less...

Man, if you could FIND a Radias for $700 or less, I would look into that. The synthesis, I think is VERY good, and you can get some REALLY think leads, stacking all the voices and timbres together. Are you looking at getting specifically analog or digital? Maybe look into Roland's new GAIA? Or their...

Re: Favorite Synth for Bass Sounds

The one synth that surprised me with it's sub-bass sound is the JX-3P. Seriously, two square waves SLIGHTLY detuned, played low with some filter action in the attack? s**t just blows my mind every time I play it. Think of Mr. Finger's/Larry Heard's Bass sound. That's the patch I have saved in my JX-...

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread

I recently purchased my first piece of gear from this site. It was 101 Force's PG-200 he had for sale. Originally, I thought, naw, f**k it, I'll buy it on ebay just to get it outta the way. But nobody on eBay had it in my price range, NOR did any of them reply back to my emails to confirm if the dam...

Re: MM6 or Similar!!?? MIDI/SYNTH/KEYBOARD

Don't buy an MM6. It's a poor machine. :D Save up for the MOTIF XS. They're dropping in price because of the new MOTIF XF. ;) Trust me. The wait will be worth it. (saving up the money, that is) I don't think the guy plans on coming back, but even so, he never really made it clear what he wanted to ...

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?

Mine was my good old Roland JX-3P, got it for a trade for my Yamaha MM6. Best thing I've done all year, really. Technically, then, I got my JX-3P for free (well, I had to pay $20 to make them take my MM6).
