Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!

I don't care what anyone says about the DX7, in my opinion it's one of the most amazing sounding Synths ever produced. And if you put in lots of time like i now have it is not all that bad to program.
=D> I second that.

Re: Close as it comes to CS-80?

Truly amazing, CS_TBL. It's a shame there are so few modern proper FM synths out there. FM's so intuitive once you develop an ear for it, no maths required. It's defo my synthesis of choice too.

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread

This probably reflects more of a new poster's willingness to participate in a discussion - and you're perfectly free to express your view from your own personal viewpoint as well - but how is any of this relevant? I guess it's more relevant to the discussion than my post count. If you'd actually re...

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread

The problem now is, I want an original SEM. :P While I don't condemn this, I strongly disagree with such a mindset. In my view, synthesizers like other instruments evolve through time. It is pointless to be overly particular about certain sound character of an old unit because this unit will become...

I'd be a CS80 if I already weren't such a MoPho. :D
