Re: touchscreens (reactable, lemur, etc)

I don't like the product myself but the Apple i-pad could be a brilliant control if nothing else (lets face it, it's just an oversized i-pod touch really).

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread

Now, is there any hope that it will ever be sold in a UK shop? I'm reluctant to ship because I cannot be 100% sure of the custom tax and quietly hope that audioMIDI.com's exclusive rights to sell the SEM are only an initial and temporary advantage over the other distributors and it will expire afte...

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread

I had been very on the fence about selling the XS, but within a larger setup, I can see all the different uses coming out. This is perhaps, a negative aspect of the patched SEM, you still need a whole host of other things (or at least a CP-251 or similar) to make full use of the patch points. This ...

Re: Arturia Origin Keyboard - Wow!

Jeez, knolan you're really trying hard with this thing  10/10 for effort. Here's the bottom line for me - I don't care what the keyboard offers in terms of performance. It could give me a blow job but I still couldn't get past the fact that it's attached to what I see as one of the strangest co...

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread

A question for Nadafarm: Does the new SEM sounds a bit like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yFMbd1LLYA well yes... more than a bit I would say. I'm saying 90% the same as the original. That's good to hear because I absolutely love the sounds in that video. Watching that helped me make my deci...

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread

That's a bit worrying, nadafarms :( Maybe the only way to truly get the vintage sound is to buy vintage. On the upside my MIDI>CV SEM will probably sound amazing in 25 years time

Re: Arturia Origin Keyboard - Wow!

Actually Syn303 - good idea - an email to Arturia to heed the message that Origin is simply overpriced isn't a bad idea. It's only overpriced is you but it new  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Arturia-Origin-Mint-Condition-hardly-used_W0QQitemZ260542844822QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Musical_Instruments_Pro_Au...

Are these official Apple styli?

Just downloaded the VirSyn. Great little app but it's a bit fiddly to use. A stylus would help a lot.

Re: iPhone / iTouch music applications suggestions

My wife got an i-phone over the weekend (how long did it take us to work out how to make acall?!!) so I've been looking at the same things. I previously saw this one, which I'm definitely buying when I work out how to do it!! http://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/roland-303-909-and-808-in-one-iphone-a...

Re: Arturia Origin Keyboard - Wow!

In any case, I believe I have laid out honest, objective and IMO very important reasons why Arturia's Origin and Virtual Synths are worth taking seriously. I own dozens of hardware synthesizers and see no contradiction, no clash of cultures and and no objective reason not to whole heatedly embrace ...
