It's not free, though ($149) but it does send all the parameters for the samples and presets.
For $149 you can find a E6400/5000 and the problems with graphic editing is solved

Re: ALL synths will eventually become vintage for somebody
I think that the Roland D50 and the Yamaha SY77/TG77/SY99 might be future classics. No one has yet fully exploited the possibilities of the SY range.

Re: Recent popularity of TR-707?
I think it's the user interface (the grid based graphical interface) and the connectivity that are the interesting parts of the Tr707. If you want a similar sound on the cheap and can live with seeing only one voice at the time on the grid, pick up a TR505 or TR626 for next to nothing. The 505 kick ...

Re: Yamaha AxK owners.
The A4k/5k is really a Motif with replacable ROM.
The synthesizer power is very good and the effects are unique for a sampler.
The slow disc loading is a pity though.

Re: Jexus programming on the AN1X is brilliant
Listening through the demos, it doesn't sound that much different from the available AN1x patches, i.e. what Yamaha and others have provided. The challenge is to listen though all availble patches and pick up the best and then start editing them to your own taste. The An1x is clearly underrated/unde...

Re: Roland Sampler Library on CD/DVD...
Google is your friend..... There is an archive with almost all of the S-series library: http://www.generalconcepts.com/sgroup/ On this site you will also find conversion programs, but you most probably need a non USB disk drive. It should work under XP but even better is to find an old win 95/98 PC ...

Re: One is not enough!
I have both a SY77 and a TG77. I got the TG to save space, but the resale value of the SY is so low (and it's very heavy to ship) that I still keep it.

Re: Worst.. hardware sequencer.. EVER
Another rather frustrating sequencer is the sequencer that is built-in the Casio CZ5000. If you record live playing you could input chords (i.e. polyphonic MIDI data) but when doing step recording only single notes. Being a fully linear sequencer one would have to keep a separate sheet with all the ...
