Re: HUGE MOOG MUSIC NEWS COMING MONDAY
The inability to build a system a la carte is unfortunate. Yup, and the pricing is retarded. WTF? $9000 for a sequencer? Do they have no idea about what's already on the market? Do they think that they can ride a name that hard? Do they think that BEMI are just riding a name? Buchla commands crazy ...

Re: HUGE MOOG MUSIC NEWS COMING MONDAY
If Moog have approached these new modulars the same way as the Emerson units were built then what you have are actually not so much re-issues, they are built in America by Americans at the Moog factory using identical components and construction techniques including hand stuffing and soldering. The...

Re: HUGE MOOG MUSIC NEWS COMING MONDAY
They sure look nice but it's easy to see that they are marketing these towards collectors rather than users. If you piece out the system 15 that's a pretty hefty price per module/function. I'm not a module maker but compared to the current offerings I don't see what Moog brings that justifies such a...

Re: EoWave Titan capsule modular synth??
You mean the big thread with the fried LFO? Always triple check Euro ribbons for the correct polarity! Sure, but if Eowave can't mark their boards (not the only company) and can't consistently connect their cables then there are bound to be problems, Especially if they don't provide written guides ...

Re: EoWave Titan capsule modular synth??
There have been some quality control concerns with their modules raised on Muff's but at the price maybe that's to be expected.
I'd be interested to try it out though.

Re: Sequencer for Korg MS-20
On an analog sequencer, why would that matter? Unless there is some quantizing of course...sequentialsoftshock wrote:No, they both operate as v/oct whereas the MS20 is hz/oct.Cybercardinal wrote:So the Arturia Beatstep or EHX 8 step doesn't work with MS-20?

Re: Recording Machines with Amps
You are asking about the widely held belief that there is useful coloration available by routing audio though more gear. It can become ridiculous, I just saw an ad for a guitar stompbox that emulates the preamp of the old Echoplex units....not the delay itself, mind you only the preamp! Only as a s...

Re: Trigger the Nord Modular with gate signals?
I don't know about the dangers to the input but you'll probably get a more consistent result putting some logic modules between. i have had some success using audio signals from drums etc. you could split an audio signal from the synth output if the gate is too much...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
The funny thing about Roland is they seem a little like the creepy uncle trying to be cool and up to date but ultimately missing the point entirely  I don't know if I agree, it seems that they are giving people what they have been asking for using the technology that they are most comfortable ...

Re: SH-101 -VS- Microbrute
to the OP: I bought the micro-brute so that I wouldn't have to take my 101 out for live shows while retaining most of the functionality (mostly the sequencer). I think there is a nod to the 101 in terms of features and I think that was intentional on Arturia's part. They do sound wildly different th...

Re: Yamaha Tg77
I'm pretty sure that if you have a search for sy77/tg77 patches on the net you'll find it.
On this site are some banks (not sure if your patch is in there)
http://www.yamahaforums.co.uk/
I know I found a zip file once with thousands of patches, can't remember now. Google will help...
