Re: Choosing TR8 and TB3 over TR808/909 and TB303

Well, the real question is whether or not you feel this person's new music sounds as good as the stuff he was producing 20 to 30 years ago. Take someone like Gary Numan for example... In new interviews he's always talking about his love for new gear over the vintage stuff, but his music today reall...

Re: Why a juno 60 ???

The answer may be pretty simple. Affordable, attainable, big sweet spot, built to last and has the cool vintage look.

did I mention its VINTAGE????

Re: Moog Sub 37

IMO I think this thing is bad a*s. I've owned a 2 voyagers, and while I really miss the 3rd osc with the Sub 37, it greatly makes up for it with modulation, arp, seq and has as close to the old mini overdrive sound I've heard from new Moogs. It does take a little bit of work to coax a creamy-classic...

Re: Synth to Complement Sub 37

+ 1 on the Prophet 6. I hearing late 2Q, and that's if you got your pre-order in early, otherwise better think 3Q+

I had a P12, very amazing board, and it did quite well with the Sub37.

Purchased a mint (as described!) Waldorf Streichfett from Aaron2. Great communication, and arrived packaged nicely.

Re: Akai Analog Drum Machine

Thx Ruff, wish I could give "thumbs up" or "like" your response. I'll grab one this week and give it a go. I have aTR-8 and it seems this will be a nice compliment.
As always your opinions/viewpoints are both concise and appreciated. Cheers!

Re: Akai Analog Drum Machine

So I went through this thread, and honestly can't tell how people who actually have the RW feel about it. Its been out for a few months, and I think several of you guys have one. I'm curious if the tuning issues have been fixed, or if that is a total game changer. I didn't get to play one in GC a fe...

Wow, this thing sounds nice! Really can't wait to obtain one. Makes the selling of my vp330 a wee bit less painful.

Re: Polyphonic Workhorse Synth -P08 or something else?

I've owned a P08..and just didn't mesh with it. Could of been I was always comparing to my P5, which isn't fair. This year I bought my P12 through proaudiostar. They had an "open box" for 2100, offered me 150 more for NIB. Done. Love this board, but it isn't a do-it-all synth. Like most pieces it ex...
