What if I already have a P12 (+Tempest)? Totally intrigued by the P2, and was set on a Sub37 upon release. Now I'm torn between which to get...

Re: DSI PRO 2

Curious about how much overlap the P2 and the P12 will share. What a fun little piece of kit this looks to be, but if the P12 is only $500 more, why not save and get the flagship? I realize this has several abilities/attributes the P12 doesn't, however how much are said attributes/abilities going to...

Re: I AM Electro ~ Vocoder Suggestions

Also keep in mind how clear you want your vocals, i.e. SVC-350 has more bands = more distinct words. More bands more depth. The cheaper vocoders have less bands and tend to have a more muddy sound.

Poly = P-12
Mono = Sub37

Should give me a good sonic range to explore!

Re: buying my first set of monitors

I'll not even venture to challenge some of these guys sonic kung-fu (looks at Stabs), however I've owned both Adam A7 (not the A7x, but an older version) and KRK Rokit 6 G2. My room was decent size for a mastering room (15'x20') and I sonically treated as best I could, i.e. bass traps, diffusor and ...

Patch Storage. :::sighs:::: With many analog synths, patch storage is the refuge of the people who don't know how they did what they did and need to save it so that they can do it again. I keep telling you people... learn synthesis, and you won't need patch storage on analog synths. I realize you'r...

Re: Are synthesizers for any one type of person?

Real artists just make the music and let other people worry about what genre to put things into afterwards. This pretty much sums up my global view. I've always written music that comes from within me. That is not to say I've not studied and/or been greatly influenced by different artists or works.

Re: Favorite Stringer?

I've owned a RS505, and a Solina and both are wonderful boards. However, I currently own the VP330 and it really has quite a different sound due to the choral section. In addition if you were to add actual singing to the vocoder section...well. :shocked: That being said I dearly miss the RS505: synt...
