Re: School me on Sequencers

I looked into that on the MS2000 awhile back but it doesn't appear to be a regular sequencer per se, it's some kind of 'mod sequence' effect which is cool, but not what I need. For the life of me I couldn't see how to program note values into it. Plus the manual repeatedly references connecting an e...

School me on Sequencers

I need to find a way to play some sequenced parts like in the Rush songs New World Man and Vital Signs... Far as I can tell there isn't a way to get my SH-32 or MS2000B to do this, so I think I need an external hardware sequencer... could anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Taurus 3 in the house

I just picked up a set of the new Taurus 3 pedals from the local bass shop, and man this synth is the bomb! I never buy new gear so this was kind of a big deal for me, but I'd been lusting after the original pedals for a long time so when I found out my local shop was getting a set I decided to spri...

Re: Anyone use the V-Machine?

So far I've tested it out at practice with Antti's Taurus and OP-X free VSTs. Sound is really good, for live and rehearsal I think it will be fine, but haven't had a chance to really hear it in the a more exacting studio setting or anything yet. The main limitation for me is the propietary software,...

Re: Anyone use the V-Machine?

I pretty much use it for Taurus, OP-X, and minimoog VSTs, no problems yet. The real test is the gig of course...

Re: Anyone use the V-Machine?

Well I just got the mofo and this little baby is bangin'

had to spend a few hours updating firmware and setting it up but now I've got the Taurus VST running on it and it sure sounds legit. I think OP-X will be next.

Re: Anyone use the V-Machine?

umm, not sure I would want to lug around my computer, even a laptop, to rehearsals and gigs. Thus the V-machine.

Re: Moog Taurus III picture

I am definitely tempted to make a move on one if it ever shows up at the local shop here... they say they have one coming but who knows when it will show?

Anyone use the V-Machine?

Since I'm not getting hold of an OB-X or Taurus pedals anytime soon I figured I'd try out the VST world, but I do my playing live or in practice, not on the computer. So after looking into it I figured a dedicated VST hardware host like SM Pro Audio was the way to go; that way I could use VSTs like ...

Re: Just saying hi, new synth player here

Thanks Alex.... ahh the 106! Friend of mine in college had one, many memories of fooling around with it. In fact another friend of mine has one in pristine condition that I just might have to make an offer on... I've fooled around program a few times but I feel limited that I don't really know what ...
