Interesting thread...

I would have to give it to Dave Smith/Sequential... This is based on if they had the capital of companies like Roland or Yamaha I think they would have done the most for the customers and music community.

Doug Walker actually, he did a superb job replacing the ribbon with original RCA ribbon stock. This was a few years back...

It would have to be my dad's RCA 77D. It's an earlier model and they came out in 1945... He says 1947 at the latest.

As for things that make sound it would be a Wurlitzer home organ with the little Orbit synth.

Then the Simmons SDS-V.

Great demo! Very charismatic and underrated synth.. I have the EX-8000 and am quite fond of many of it's quirks. I like to route both the aftertouch and pitchstick from my Nord to the filter then crank the resonance and you can do some pretty impressive playing of just filter parameters. Add some of...
