Re: Which Polys have Bandpass Filtering?

The Korg Delta has an amazing sounding and unique bandpass filter. I don't even think its technically a bandpass filter but thats what they call it. Sounds excellent IMO.

Re: Synths everyone has used?

I imagine most people have tried Reason and Arturia's Minimoog vst.

For hardware probably a Microkorg.

Did ANY vintage synth have X-mod,Sync, and Ringmod?

I can't think of one. Could there really be no vintage synth with these 3 features?

Re: Pimp My DX!

Awesome! especially the part about every time you see it you just wanna play it. Its nice to have synths that call you to play with them.

Hope you enjoy the CS-15 I hope to get one this year sometime..

Re: Questions on Nord products

No problem. for a straight piano I'd go for the Yamaha P-120 not any of the other P series though. I think they sell used for as low as $600 and up to $850

Re: Questions on Nord products

I haven't played a stage 2 but they seem nice, except for the price. I bet it has shortcomings too. In general I find the nords to be too expensive... maybe a touring musician could justify it but if you're mostly just messing around at home they are a lot of money. You can transform your samples in...

Re: Questions on Nord products

Beware the nordwave, It has a lot of shortcomings for such an expensive board. It was my first synth and although I learned a ton on it there are some things i should point out. 1. No separate outs. It offers you slot a and slot b so while you can have 2 sounds they both come out the same output. Th...

Re: Identifying two mystery synths. Ideas?

That white thing just looks like a toy piano, you can hear in the song a little metalic bell part thats probabably what it is. The synth the other girl is playing is an ARP Odyssey MK2.

Re: are the terms bandwidth/Q/resonance interchangeable?

The bandwidth of the filter is the difference between the upper and lower cutoff frequencies. For example on an MS-20 you have a highpass and lowpass filter both with resonance (they call it peak on the MS-20) Together they effectively give you a bandpass filter. The bandwidth of that bandpass filte...
