Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

IMO the Cat is superior to the Minimoog, maybe I'll film a video...

Still $3200 is at least double what I would pay for a Cat

Re: are the terms bandwidth/Q/resonance interchangeable?

Q, Resonance, Emphasis, Peak, Regeneration, and feedback are all the same when we're talking filters. Bandwidth is different, google it for a technical explanation.

Does you ringmod work with audio? I think a ring mod is exponential, for control signals you would want a linear device.

Re: Little Synthesizer Expander Modules (ie Extra VCO's)

CS-5 or MS-10

Its tricky to control v/oct synths as the Cs-15 is hz/volts but if were to get a converter I'd recommend one of the new Oberheim SEMs

Re: synthesizers that made impact in electronic music produc

Was the fairlight really a synthesizer though? Of course samplers had a massive impact but that needs a dedicated thread imo. Buchla deserves a mention of course! First analog sequencer... It inspired Serge, Wiard, and Make Noise and it promotes it's own style of music production. In ways similar to...

Re: WORST youtube synth demo?

Get Lyonel's videos out of the thread!!!!! lol just kidding. but seriously Lyonel is as nice as they come, very good at what he does. However, I bet he would sound amazing regardless what he used. He clearly has a good ear for music. You have to remember only a small percentage of the people who buy...

Re: Monotribe impressions.

I only heard one briefly at adhmzaiusz' place, and didn't actually try it but it sounded great! It was kind of like having a stripped down tr-606, ms-10 and xoxbox all at once! I liked how the sequencer just loops exactly what you do on the ribbon, you can just mess around until you get a keeper. If...

Re: EuroRack Module Shopping & Comparison

The muffwiggler forum is an amazing resource. There is tons of info there. I would focus around your 100m and ARP 2600 so the minijack format makes the most sense. If you have cash to burn the Wiard 300 series look like a super enhanced 100m, I bet they sound amazing. Or you could go the popular eur...
