Also, if i were to purchase another keyboard (ie Roland JP8000) how would i add it to this set-up (would it be via the MIDI THRU of the Virus to the MIDI IN ...

Softsynth equivalents
Has anybody got any recommendations for Softsynth equivalents of the Roland Jp8000, and the Access Virus B? Also, what other softsynths are ideal for trance / dance? Predator and Sylenth (Virus B) and Superwave 8 (JP8000) have already been recommended - any others? Thanks in advance.

Midi keyboard and Interface Setup
I have an Axiom 49, a Digidesign 002 (with Protools) and a Novation KS Rack. Can anybody advise me on how to set up this equipment (ie: Cables). All User guides for my equipment, and sites i've looked at online do not allow for the setup that i need. I've tried several different things swapping cabl...

Re: What synthesizer?
So many recommendations! Arghhh! But again, many thanks. I think my mind is made up though to go the sotfsynth route for starters. I'll check out the X-Station in comparison to the XioSynth. Will either (or both) take the Reason software package? Do i even need it? And lastly typically how much are ...

Re: What synthesizer?
Again, many thanks for all the advice. I think i'm starting to get my head around it now - it looks like the software option is the one i'll go for for starters (although i would prefer to dwiddle knobs etc), but i understand that i've got to learn walk before i can run. Cheers for also getting me t...

Re: What synthesizer?
Thanks guys for your advice - much appreciated. However, i'm still a little confused. Am i right in thinking that, if i go the rack route, i need: A rack, a master keyboard, MIDI cables and a MIDI patchbay? For this option do i still need a PC? And is there anything else i need? For the software opt...
