Re: Closest DCO synth to Jupiter 8 in a tone perspective
Getting outside of Roland, I think the Kawai SX240 has small similar sound qualities as a Jupiter 8, specifically in string type sounds.

Re: Korg Z1 vs Yamaha EX5
Id say they are somehwat similar, same era, and two of the only synths at the time that featured physical modelling. I currently have a Z1 and dig it. I wouldn't say its thin, far from it, but it is certainly digital sounding, in a good way. I'd say overall for synthesis the Z1 wins, but as an all r...

Re: SuperNova 2 Sound Output Issue
Thanks for the response, I found out that this is a common issue with the supernova twos. The main outs and headphone amp dies, luckily I can still route audio, in multimode only, through individual outs 7 and 8, which I initially thought was dead too, glad I was wrong, haha Still kinda crappy how t...

Re: Selling the Phatty for a Mopho?
I had both the LP2 and the Mopho Keys at the same time last month, and almost immediately sold the Phatty. I honestly wasnt that impressed with it. No matter how much I programmed, it sounded plain, bland, and sterile. Def better for smooth sounds then the Mopho, but the Mopho had much more programm...

SuperNova 2 Sound Output Issue
Im not the most tech savvy so maybe someone can help me figure this out. Have been using Supernova 2 rack for years, randomly it stopped outputing sound. Shut it off, came back next day and it worked for 2 min then sound dropped out again. Now its totally gone, except if I turn it up to MAX, I can h...

Synth Used in "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover"
Ever since I was a kid I always thought the Pad sound in this song was killer. I think its a Roland, but not sure. Anyone have an idea? Google isn't helping. haha

Re: Again: Juno or Polysix?
Opposite opinion in here. I think Polysix has a pretty dull and dumb kinda timbre, and Juno always sounds lovely and it's easy to put in the mix. Junies are more musical. I hope you have owned a polysix yourself, because honestly there is nothing dull or dumb about the polysixs sound. I think the g...

Oh and I think the sampling is 16-bit. If it is 10-bit though, I actually think thats even cooler.
