Re: Which Odyssey color?

Did Korg stop making the full size version of the Odyssey? Even though the Arp Odyssey FS still appears on Korg's website, it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. If the "limited edition" has reached its limit, then why is it still on the Korg website? http://www.korg.com/us/products/synthesizers/...

Re: Digital Pianos

It's actually not a great piano sound IMO. Certainly not "absolutely incredible". I find in many situations, Pianoteq is better. And you haven't factored in the cost of a decent full range speaker system. The Roland I mentioned is actually very good value, compared to the cost of a weighted control...

Re: Digital Pianos

Addictive Keys Studio Grand. $79.95 plus tax. It's absolutely incredible: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AKStuGrand With the remaining $2,400+, you will have plenty of money for everything else you may need to use it (i.e. high quality weighted MIDI keyboard) and a another new synth or two ...

More ridiculously small offerings from Roland. No thanks.

Re: Your latest musical purchase

I'm not sure what this is. It says Synclavier on it. I got it a few weeks ago at my local Salvation Army thrift shop for $15. For some reason, the top is missing. I can get it to make a few sounds, but I don't know how to work the buttons. It does make a sound that sounds a lot like the beginning of...

Just hang on. I have the utmost confidence that Behringer will be making a full-size OSCar clone. I will be the first in line to get one.

Re: Waldorf Quantum - new 8 voice hybrid poly

Although I do not own one, the Waldorf Q is one of my favorite synths. If this new Quantum is anything like the Q regarding sounds and features, I may have to use next year's tax return to buy a Quantum. Go to this page and select the audio demo called qwerk, and you too will want a Q. Crank it (goo...

It's Official: Korg to Release a Full Size ARP 2600

It's the day that many of us have been waiting for. Korg will be releasing a full size ARP 2600. It will not be an 86% mini version. It will be a full size recreation of the original that will sell for an estimated $2,600. As with the Odyssey re-release, the ARP 2600 will be available with different...

Have you tried the Roland JP-08 or the Roland System 8 with the included Jupiter 8 model?

They are waaaaaay less money and far more reliable than either a decades old Jupiter 8 or buggy Andromeda A6.

Re: Sequential T8 Monster Auction Excitement

I rarely bid on vintage synths, listed on Ebay, but I bid on one tonight.. I saw a massive monster T8, the other day, that just pulled me in.. It made me forget all about the Prophet 5, 600, 6, Rev2 and everything else Sequential.. What is it about a T8 that compelled you to be willing to spend tho...

Is there a reason that you are trying to recreate the original programs by fiddling with the knobs? Can't you just push the program button to get back to the original stored sounds?
