Re: Behringer discussing making ARP Odyssey now
For some reason, I am unable to access the Instagram link included in a previous post on this thread. I found this online. Is this the leaked photo being referred to, or is there another one?

Re: Behringer discussing making ARP Odyssey now
The plot thickens! I saw this posted on Synthtopia back in mid November: Petterkeys on November 16, 2014 at 2:37 pm said: Update: I talked with Rich Formidoni with Korg, and he told me that the Korg ARP Odyssey is going to be a mini version and Virtual Analog ... This better be some sick joke. If t...

Re: would be nice if KORG would of held onto x mass deadline
Yeah, as it has for many others, the Korg Arp Odyssey recreation has piqued my interest. I wish that there was more information available about it. I'd like to know now if I should be saving money for it. I have scoured the internet only to find that there is a dearth of information available about ...

Re: Korg Odyssey
Uh-oh. Hmmm? Well, depending on the price and availability, perhaps I can time an Odyssey purchase to coincide with my next tax refund.commodorejohn wrote:The distributor I have my pre-order through informed me back in June that they'd pushed it back to 2015. I should've mentioned it here, but I forgot.

Re: Korg Odyssey
You come to the VINTAGE synth site to get the scoop on the LATEST models? Yeah, there's more here than just decades old hardware. I don't just want to read or watch a manufacturer's ads or watch demonstrators paid by the manufacturer. I like to read the impressions/opinions of people here...

Korg Odyssey
No, don't get excited. I've got no new information related to the Korg Odyssey. That's the point. I come to this site for the inside scoop on the latest synths. The Odyssey is supposed to be released next month, and no one seems to have any information on it. I first heard about the MS-20 mini and K...

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey
I can't wait to play some Ultravox leads! Currie, and the synth guy from Magazine make the odyssey wail~! Here's a Billy Currie article/interview in which he discusses his use of the ARP Odyssey: http://www.electricity-club.co.uk/an-interview-with-ultravox%e2%80%99s-billy-currie/ Yeah, I'm also hop...

Gary Numan 1979
I came across this clip on Youtube that I didn't know existed. It's a 1979 "rare unbroadcast video" of Gary Numan and his band lip syncing to Are Friends Electric. This is the period when Billy Currie was a member of Gary Numan's touring band, right after John Foxx left Ultravox and before Ultravox ...

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey
Pretty much every band in the 70 and 80s who didn't have a minimoog had an Odyssey, cos the ARPs were a bit cheaper. So that would be countless of bands. The musician community was also kind of split in between ARP's "sliders only" interface and Moog's "knobs only" interface. Midge Ure of Ultravox ...

Re: Raffle for minimoog signed by Gary Numan
When Gary Numan appeared on Saturday Night Live in January 1980, there were five Minimoogs in his band (I was surprised that this is not on Youtube, at least I couldn't find it there). Here is Gary Numan's performance of Cars on SNL. I was unable to find a clip of their second song Praying to the Al...
