Re: Moog MG-1 vs DSI Mopho vs ?

I am personally not that impressed with the mg-1, but liked mine for certain things like osc sync, ring mod, etc. It looks and feels cheep, but is okay for a couple sounds. The mopho will probably have a wider range of sounds

Re: My polysynth is finally finished :D

Hello again :-) ... Another design change is to replace VCAs with DCAs made with DACs. Why? Let me explain: - When all CVs are generated with software, there is almost no benefit in having VCAs. It is just another multiplying stage. First, DAC multiplies constant reference voltage by its digital in...

Re: D16 LUsh-101 Synth....

I've had 2 fostex mr-8s and they were both around $50 usd. Its worth it. The reason I keep bringing it up is because its the only recorder that i've liked besides computer based recording. its so easy to use, and works like a multitrack tape recorder.

Re: Presonus firepod line output help

That is helpful, but I don't have that software for some reason. I installed the drivers, but my control panel is more like this http://media.soundonsound.com/sos/jul05/images/presonusfirebox02.l.jpg The problem is that I can't get audio to play through the 8 line outputs when used with the computer...

Re: D16 LUsh-101 Synth....

The miniak, microkorg, alesis micron, and various lower end novation Virtual analog synths would be good choice. You said you wanted to plug in and add vocals, but this would require recording hardware, or software. If you wanted to record very cheaply, you could buy something like a fostex mr-8 use...

Presonus firepod line output help

I am using the firepod with Reaper in windows 7. I just got it recently, and a few things are unclear to me about the line outputs. The line outputs work when the unit is used without the computer, but I am having trouble setting up the line outputs in Reaper (and Fl Studio). As an example, I can ad...

Re: How many of you still have your first synth?

I still have and use my first synth, the Poly-800. I still get plenty of use out of it, so I keep it.

Re: Moving from MPC based sequencing to Cubase - need help.

I actually have pretty good luck with midi outputs. Its really not limiting for me. I can sequence as much hardware as needed, well.
