I have a chance to buy FLUKE 7220A at a cheap price right now.
FLUKE 7220A is just a signal generator that just generates some wave of frequrency.
Is it possible to make any sound out of this?

Recent popularity of TR-707?
Check out this ebay listing. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250608226982&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT 707 is currently going for 500 USD!! Is the world going mad? With that money, I'd save some more and get Jomox XBase-09 or get Electribe or something and put in the samples. You could...

Re: God damn latency!
@CS_TBL
Can you explain to me what this does? If I install it, would I get lower latency?
@aphlux
Which soundcard do you use?
I have a laptop so I am ruling out internal soundcard.

God damn latency!
I work with Reason 4 often with Novation X-Station, and I am just so annoyed by the latency. My laptop is 1.866 Ghz Core2Duo and has 4GB DDR2 RAM, so I am pretty the the problem is with my shitty sound card. How do you overcome the problem of latency? I've been tweeking a bit with buffer size, but e...

Novation XioSynth and X-Station
I got Novation X-Station recently and I like its sound a lot. I am thinking about getting another VA at a cheap price, and I think I might go with another Novation synth again, Xiosynth. Do they have different sound or are they pretty much identical? Can someone tell me what "X-Gator" of Xiosynth is...

Re: Korg Electribe EA-1
I sold mine for about $130 Canadian a few weeks ago. For $100 USD, I would buy it. You can't go wrong. While I had it, I had some fun with it. Just make sure that the machine works perfectly and check that all LEDs are working as well. Although the machine is pretty sturdy and ok for gigs, these thi...

Re: Novation x-station
I finally did sell my X-Station today, but not before going through all the features on it (to make sure everything was in perfect working order for the buyer). Now I remember why I bought it in the first place (my first synth apart from a Korg Kaossilator). Great sounds, great touch, great control...

Good electrical engineering books on synthesizers
Does anyone know of good electrical engineering books on hardware synthesizers?
I want books that go pretty deep into mathematics and electronics behind hardware synths, not just overview of it.

Re: Roland SH01
It looks extremely sexy.
I think 64 polyphony is great improvement too.
I am not sure whether to categorize this under the entry level synth along with microkorg and micron even though Roland considers it to be a beginner synth. The price is quite up there and its features are rich.

Re: Novation x-station
So I'm reading a lot of mixed reviews on the novation x-station. I'm tempted because I had a novation nova I really liked, but then some people complain about the x-station engine/sound vs. the older nova/KS series. The whole MIDI controller / USB audio interface part of it is about 30% of the reas...
