I think Korg would be foolish not to follow the Monotron up with a larger module with midi for twice the price, you can get some good sounds out of it but midi would make it all the more useful, something like the MFB Nanozwerg, http://www.thomann.de/gb/mfb_nanozwerg.htm, I may well get one of these...
