Re: a big difference in the virus ti and virus ti2 plugins?

[quote="Alex E"]Personally, I'd hang onto your C since you already have it. When I finally tried the TI desktop, I was blown away by the sound, but pretty frustrated with the so called "Total Integration" which never worked the way I wanted it to. quote] Same for me....I have a TI2, but I never try ...

I was just in my local Guitar Center last week (Kalamazoo, Michigan) and they still had them stock.

+1....I say spend the full $100 and get the Sennheiser HD280s.....I love mine and wouldn't trade them for anything.

Re: Which studio monitors should I buy?

I thought about the Rockit 5's myself too. My issue with them is that they seemed a little coloured. I thought the low end/bass was really loud, which would make it difficult to get mixes right. Maybe after buying them and getting used to them, you get the hang of them. I would think of maybe lookin...

Re: What synths suit my needs?

Novation Supernova/Nova (don't know if the KS or Vstation have the programmable arp) Access Virus Ti The Alesis Micron has programmable arps It largely depends on your budget. I'll say i literally held onto my Nova rather than trade it because i didn't want to lose the programmable arp. +1....defin...

Re: First monitors...Cheapest?

I don't think I would go any cheaper than the KRK Rockit 5s or something like the Mackie MR5s. They are both very good quality and relatively inexpensive for what you get. If you go for something really cheap you will end regretting it later. A decent pair of monitors makes creating/mixing much easi...

Re: Microkorg or Minibrute

I'll second the K-Station.....It is one of the easiest little synths to use. I wish it had at least 3 octave, but other than that what a nice synth at a low price. You can also get a lot of bang for the buck with a XioSynth.....Those would be my 2 choices only because they packed so much stuff into ...

New Where The Embers Fall Official Music Video

We just released a new music video yesterday for our first single off of our new album "True Fate." The video is for the song "Fleeting Moments." I think the video turned out really well, and I would like to hear some of your input. I especially like the video footage during Jennifer's singing parts...

I think this would be your best bet for small/compact/quality. I am currently considering getting one myself to replace my current crappy mixer I use on stage.....it's an Alesis Multimix, which I would recommend avoiding.

Re: Your Arturia secrets please...

I only wish Arturia would release a patch that let us change the screen resolution. The CS-80V is great but the interface is so fricking small and tight packed that you click on the wrong buttons all the time. If you could double the size it still wouldn't take up half the screen space. Totally agr...

Re: Virus TI vs Virus B

I own a TI, and my friend owes a B....I bought the TI because I though the integration with the computer might be something cool......However, I never use it. It doesn't seem to stable as Ashe stated, and it also seems to slow down my work flow. I simply use it as a hardware synth, and I think the t...

Re: Synths for fun and investment

I've never bought a synth thinking it as monetary investment. I look at it, listen to it, play it (if possible), and say could this work in my setup? If I say yes than I buy it. I don't care if I buy now for $1,000 and sell it in 10 years for $300. If I was able to make some music I'm happy with it ...

Re: Blue Spark or EV Cardinal or ?

I am looking at some inexpensive condensor microphones and I am leaning toward the Blue Spark and the EV Cardinal. Have any of you used either of these? What are your impressions? What else is in this price class that might be decent? I know you get what you pay for and there is no substitute for a...

Where the Embers Fall - Fleeting Moments (Live)

So my friend took some video footage of our live show a couple of weeks ago. He just posted the footage on his youtube page today. I thought I would post it up here and see what you guys thought of it. I know the quality might not be the best, but that's youtube! Also, at about the 0:17 there are a ...

Re: SPARK Vintage Drum Machines

They sound very good when not compressed through You Tube and tiny, tinny speakers. +1....I bought Spark last year when it came out (controller and software). I can attest to the bad sound quality of that particular YouTube video. I was at Sweetwater's GearFest last summer and saw the Arturia rep d...
