Re: Yamaha Reface

Anyone who is serious about playing will have their fave full-sized 88-key midi master keyboard anyway (like an Oasys or Motif or whatever). I think they include minikeys just to cater for those who just "noodle" a bit and don't have a big controller keyboard sitting around the livingroom. If you w...

Re: Synth Spa- Haven't seen my 106 in almost a year...

Kidney05, I'm kinda pissed for you right now, that's ridiculous. He's had it for almost a year and a half (if I'm understanding correctly)! It seems like he's not even trying to get it done. Even if he was, what's his excuse? That he's got other repair jobs to do? That wouldn't be right either, bec...

Re: Synth Spa- Haven't seen my 106 in almost a year...

Okay, hate to resurrect an old thread here... but I am a synth tech and shop owner here in Burbank California and I am seriously curious as to how anyone is putting up with this type of business ethic without actually going to the legal extremities? Has there been any update? I am incredibly baffle...

Re: Which Odyssey color?

Nova Musik is throwing in a free SQ1 with purchase and 12 months deferred interest available on all Korg products: http://www.novamusik.com/korg-arp-odyssey-duophonic-synthesizer-with-sq1-sequencer-bundle.html Argh....! That is super tempting. What was the street price on the SQ1 anyway? EDIT: ah, ...

Re: Which Odyssey color?

Soooo what are everyone's thoughts on the tiny rubber caps on the sliders vs the full size plastic ones only on the non-limited version? To me that's a major setback of the special editions.

Re: Prophet 6

Looking at my P8 with its haywire endless encoders which I am yet to get fixed... Tempest (from the forum) still seems buggy... Any one else nervous? ;) Nah. Not me. The P08 encoder issue was solved years ago. And besides, I assume that the P6 uses pots since that would be necessary to enable the f...

Re: Which Odyssey color?

The White and Halloween look great, but I'm very concerned with the tiny rubber slider caps for the MK1. They look way less useable. Haven't decided if I'd rather have those tiny crappier caps and the limited color, or the bigger caps and the non-limited. A tough choice.

Alesis HR-16 buttons?

Picked up an Alesis HR-16 on eBay. Are the buttons typically hard to press? Buyer sold it to me as "perfect working order" and I'm wondering if it's typical or just my unit and I should try to return it. Also, if anyone knows if it's easy to clean the button switches or something that would work too...

Re: Analog Rytm vs Machinedrum

Ok, great! Thanks for the info. I've heard a crazy amount of praise for the MD but not as much for the rytm but it's probably just that people don't have them yet. Makes me wonder if they'll ever do a new machinedrum with the newer interface. I'm not really sure what elektron could do next, they've ...

Analog Rytm vs Machinedrum

Curious about these two versus eachother. Was intent on a RYTM for a while but now I'm thinking an Mk2 UW might be better to start with, mainly because of how many more machines it has, so you get a greater variety analog at the sacrifice of analog and the drum pads. The Rytm will have that amazing ...

Re: KORG SIX new exclusive products

...just got word that the full manual will be available as an iOS app only. Seems to me a great trick to loose customers , first bad decisions coming out from Korg since the whole analog revolution. Shows complete stupidity from their part if it is true indeed. 60% of the world does not use apple p...
