Re: Yamaha CS-30

I added a couple of modifications to mine: selectable series/parallel routing for the two filters, plus higher LFO rate with adjustable sensitivity for the rate knob. I take it this is the same as the Don Solaris mod . Do you really have to use shielded wiring? I'm wondering why this is part of the...

Re: Yamaha CS-30

I have a CS-30 and agree that it's highly capable yet dificult to tame. To make it a little easier to use, I'm putting together some color-coded overlay templates for mine so I can visually group knobs into categories such as modulation, pitch/waveform, filter. I've used it to trigger my CS-15 while...

Re: Moog Lap Steel

I see one tiny Moog symbol on the headstock of that one sitting on a stand; is it not possible someone slapped a Moog symbol on it because it was Moogfest? It's legit. Re: hi again. has everyone gone a little soft

My setup is around 50/50 hardware and software. It's great to turn the computer off and just jam with the hardware keyboards. This doesn't get recorded, but it's fun and relaxing. For time-critical short projects, I'm 100% software.

Re: New FS1r computer editor

After many months of searching for a good deal I finally picked up an FS1R. I've only had it hooked up for a week, but after playing through a couple hundred presets I'm pretty happy. I've downloaded the free editor, but haven't installed it yet. I took a look at the Zee Editor site yesterday. It's ...

Re: Hardware Synthesizer Sales Figures/ Worst Selling Synths

Is the Arturia Origin considered a flop? It's hugely expensive and doesn't have much to set it apart from a bunch of other soft synths. I've heard people claiming that it hasn't sold very many units. And what about the Oberheim/Viscount OB12 . . . A 12 voice Oberheim loaded with tons of knobs should...
