Re: 3-Oscillator Per Voice Polysynths??

Prophet 600 in chord mode

Lots of other synths with a resonant filter that can track as an oscillator.

Re: Moog Sub 37

I think that most people are just not very adventurous with programming. It essentially has 4 audio rate mod sources (2lfo + 2looping env) and yet, people continue to play generic moog leads on it. Well, it's hard to not play that on this thing because it's just darn Moogy! But the modulation does ...

Re: Moog Sub 37

I got mine mine a week or so ago, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed: Great UI Strong, flexible VCOs Awesome filter with added od/fb flexibility Super fun sequencer and arp Modulation routing that's far superior to the Little and Slim Phatty Looping EGs give lots of options for rhythmic pattern...

Re: Basic question about creating tremolo sounds with a synt

because the VCA is near the end-of-the-line in signal flow, that is post-filter ( plse see the signal chart for mopho) it creates several problems: 1- a permanent "droning" tremolo sound (ie sounds even when keys are not depressed), 2- the tremolo sound being created post-filter, apparently cannot ...

Re: External LFO to Modulate Moog Phatty Filter

A Euro set up just for an LFO would cost a LOT more than the CP 251. And don't ignore that it has a mult so it can send the LFO to 3 destinations. Other options: Moogerfooger with LFO out (phaser, ring mod, etc.) Goatkeeper Then just buy a used MicroBrute for $200. Not only do you get an extra LFO, ...

Re: UPDATE: eBay Buyer from h**l!

She doesn't mention that a part of the unit that affects functionality is now missing after it was opened. You should at least repeat that to her so that she understands that it's a case of theft, not just scuffs. Now, for the final insult. eBay has demanded that I give the buyer a refund anyway. He...

Re: An envelope question

I have nothing to add right now except that it's nice to see a thread about making music and the principles of synthesis rather than new stuff to buy.

Re: new VERMONA 14 synthesizer

can't see if I/O is basic or is there a row of CV jacks back there..."The analog synthesizer is a full-blown version of the Lancet module." from google translate suggests that it will give "aural" pleasure, but nothing about whether it will have copious CV or not and they're being , uh, cheeky:"Ver...

Re: Prophet 6

Just listened to some of the sound demos. https://soundcloud.com/davesmithinstruments/sets/sequential-prophet-6-audio Sounds nice. But I much prefer the slightly crusty, menacing sound of my Prophet 600. The P6 seems to tend to be much crisper, brighter, and cleaner--which can be great if that's wha...
