Re: Gooey synths

Thanks, it is helpful. I am looking at a lot options. One of the reasons I want to get hardware is because this tendency of mine is worse with software. I have so many demos installed and some get the sound I want, but I'm really picky about UI too. Keys or no keys mono or poly isn't a huge concern....

Gooey synths

Looking to spend $700. Interface is really important otherwise I'd go software. I don't want to sweat over repairs so juno 106 is out. Any ideas would be appreciated! Opinions from demos in random order: Mopho Keys. I'll have to tame the high end a bit, but I like it. I do a lot of live loopin...

Re: bit reduction pedal

I think the Wrong Side of Uranus works well with guitar. I find it's a maybe a little noisier and more out of control than the Geiger, but with the right settings you can get a cleaner more clinical noise. When I bought the WSoU it was 100 I think, but had a few less features. I might get another an...

Re: bit reduction pedal

I didn't like the Geiger Counter. With so many options on the pedal I felt like I would rather use software. It was sort of a fun random journey, but I wasn't into it.

I really like this one: http://mtlasm.blogspot.com/p/wrong-side-of-uranus.html

Re: sampling-groovebox-sequencer-workstation

I use the Mpc1000(with jjos) because I'm not a huge fan of doing whole songs with xox sequencing. I wouldn't really call it a phrase sampler since the max sample memory is not that high. For doing for example longer ambient pieces I trigger external devices. I really like it though. I had an sp404, ...

Yeah, I got a Kawai k1 for 20 dollars and the keys stick, but it's awesome for drone/ambient.

Anyway, how did you find the Fizmo? Garage sale?
