Hey Scories!
How many good members of VSE are from the Province of quebec? I think you are actually the first one I have seen. It would be good to know for the Trade/etc section. :)

Re: more Korg analog - Monotron Duo & Monotron Delay

Korg's digital delays are excellent though, they create the most bizarre noises out of all of the DD's I've tried.... Yeah, I didn't mean that as a critique, I was just a bit shocked thinking they had made a battery powered analog delay! http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/m169-carbon-copy-analog-dela...

How do you like it? I'm thinking of setting up a completely new Turntable set-up and this is currently the turntable I'm the most interested in.

Re: Local music shops= no synths ever?

Yes, here most local stores can have heavily-priced guitars and guitar amps, and drums, but when it comes to keyboard, local means Yamaha Cheapest things with speakers... Which I'm not sure if it is a good move, since most people are more turn to be more interested in electronic music, and would be ...

Re: do you think MIDI interfaces are going obsolete?

Most audio interfaces these days act as MIDI interfaces but I can't think of any that support more than one port (16 channels). I was thinking about the necessity of a specific MIDI interface lately too... For the moment, 1 in and 1 out on my Firewire Audio interface is enough, but when the time co...

New Synthpop Bands You Like

As bands from the 80's get mentionned a lot here (obviously) I still wanted to make this thread so that you could post the new Synthpop bands that feel special to you. I'll begin with two recent bands I like: Future Island, I love their albums and the singer has such an interesting voice. :D http://...

Pianos on synth-action or Synths on hammered-action? (Poll)

Let's pretend you have to choose a main board that'll serve to play every sound you have, one midi controller. Do you prefer having the piano-like action to play your pianos well or have a synth action to play quick synths? The goal of this poll is not to determine wether you prefer pianos or synths...
