Re: MOTU MicroBook

I think I found the one. Is the Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 a good interface? How would you rate the compagny/build/sound/etc? PS: I don't get how they can call this a 8 in/6 outs interface, they count s/pdif as 4 ins and two outs? Edit: I found the 2 extra ins, those are Loopback, virtual, but they do...

Re: MOTU MicroBook

I guess 4 inputs (for two stereo sources or one stereo and two mono instruments) and 4 outputs would be the best, a bit more inputs would be usefull but not needed and more outputs would be useless. I'd like a midi I/O too. Budget of 300$ but cheaper is better...

Thanks

Re: Moog new "Little Secret"

They claim it is the first professional synth for ipad... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNGNwgGiqeM And now I quote: ''This is the first of its kind. New synthesizer technology from Moog. It's Anisotropic!'' Must we consider this means a new kind synthesis technology? Also, professionnal gear, tran...

Re: 1st interface---Apogee One?

So if I'm searching for a 4 inputs (two stereo sounds) usb interface that has good sound quality (one I wouldn't have to upgrade from as Stab said) to get the sound to my recent Macbook Pro (I believe it only has to bring the sound... no other controls needed) what would you guys recommend? Oh and a...

Re: 1st interface---Apogee One?

Hi, I'm looking for my first interface and would need your help. My first question makes me feel dumb but I can't understand so, since many synths are stereo, with two cables, how come many interfaces have only one input per channel?

Yes, only really cheap synths don't have this, also no synths like these have integrated speakers.

Re: NOOB looking for analog synth

I'll look at the videos. I just bought my tickets to see The Flaming Lips playing The Soft Bulletin this summer! If he wants those kind of sounds it's a better idea to go with a workstation/rompler. It may not be as cool for the synths, but it does everything. Cheapest are Yamaha MM6, Roland Juno Di...

Re: NOOB looking for analog synth

Why did you mention analog? In comparaison I think the DSI Mopho Keyboard would be a much better buy. But that is assuming your son is interested in programming his sounds, for both analogs. Also he must not need things like pianos and organs that are involved in rock music. You are very lucky to ha...
