Re: Anyone here upgraded DSI EVOLVER KEYBD to the POT versio
There's no soldering involved with the DSI Pot replacement. With the PEK at least, you will receive new circuit boards with the Pots already attached to replace the existing ones. All you need is a phillips screwdriver and the ability to read the simple instructions that come with the kit. :) They ...

Re: Anyone here upgraded DSI EVOLVER KEYBD to the POT versio
I want a MEK really bad and I found a used one with the old encoders for 750$... I may add the new pots later... Is it a good occasion considering I have no experience with installing those kind of things by myself (but still it may be simple enough for me)?

Amazing, I'm a fan. It took me far too long but I just downloaded Illiterate Poetry and I adore it. I've been recommending it. In fact I'm just not too sure about the sunglasses
but that's your taste. Even the pictures of your setup look too nice, I am jealous.

Re: The synthesisers used on Kanye Wests new album
Don't you think that the use of autotune on Lost In The World (newer album now) is much more creative than the criticised use he had made of it on 808s & Heartbreak?
In fact it's interesting to look at this topic now that his latest cd his acclaimed by everyone.

Introduction to Synths

For me it was when I was 5 or 6 years old. I had a wakeman with Gary Numan's Replicas and The Pleasure Principle and I used to listen to them all day long while my grandmother garded me. Kind of a stange kid don't you think?
Let's hear what it was for you.

Something like the PICSynth would be to hard to you?

I am asking, because you know better what I will have to go through and maybe I'll have to follow your advice and report this project to another time when I'll have experienced more things.

Re: Building An Original Mono Synth
Thanks a lot to you both! A lot of extremely interesting stuff, excepting Paia which isn't what i'm going for. Mouser is going to be helpful definitely. Clearly a guy like adamstan could help, my project being such an easy thing in comparaison. I hope some of them post soon too. I will read the book...

Building An Original Mono Synth
Okay so this may look like a too big project that I'm starting but it's actually sort of a school project that I will be on for a bit less than a year starting now. My idea is to create and build my own analog monophonic synthesizer module. It would be Two or maybe one oscillators, unpatchable and h...

Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer
@Mr.Disco, why an MM6 then if you know so much about synth programming? I don't know that much seriously, I just think I know more then most people I know in my everyday life, that are in highschool. The MM6 was the best solution for my variety of styles and my budget. edit: Interesting to know the...

Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1EOGzzLy8U At my high school there's a big buzz about this video. Why? That is some of the worst music I've heard in quite a long while. I would like to have an OP-1 to play around with, but I definitely don't want to listen to others use it to make noise like that. ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1EOGzzLy8U At my high school there's a big buzz about this video. I'm about the only one who knows something about synthesis and I feel like it's kind of ridiculous. Electronic music is ''in'' so much these days everybody's saying if they had the money they'd buy one ...
