Re: Korg M3: most beautiful synth in the world?

The Viruses are particularly handsome, but the most beautiful synth in my eyes is the Hartmann Neuron. However, if you are speaking of devices, any device, which synthesizes sounds, the Kolner Dom organ in Cologne has to be the most beautiful synthesizer in the world.

I call it the SlimWhitman

I just invented the world's first Analog Yodeling synthesizer. Nobody seems to want to buy one, though.

Re: Casio FZ-1 Crackly Sound

.... The problem does seem to be presenting evenly on each of the 8 individual outputs, but the individual outputs are sort of strange. They only make sound every 8 times I play a key. I don't know if this is by design or not. Also, I can't get a cable into the second or third outputs. Really weird...

Re: Casio FZ-1 Crackly Sound

Your recording sounds to me like the filter is doing its normal characteristic gnarly thing. It distorts very easily, that's part of its charm. If you don't like the distortion you can lower the level going in to the filter but this can be challenging at times because as I said it distorts easily, ...

Re: Can anyone recommend me some free VSTs?

VST4FREE.com, VSTPlanet.com, and KVRAudio.com have the biggest listings. KBrown has a new and very extensive collection of free VSTs. There is the ElektroStudio collection of classics no one else has. Sonic Projects has a small free version of their OP-X. Tubeohm has four free versions that are amaz...

Re: Casio FZ-1 Crackly Sound

It could be the D/A converter. This problem is known to occur in Supernovas. I think the Service Manual is available on ManualsLib.com or possible deepSonic.ch. You would need to check the circuit from the output back with a multimeter first, and then with an oscilloscope to see where the spikes are...

Every H G Fortune

Here is every H. G. Fortune [the late great Gunter Hagen] creation I could find scouring the web. If there is a problem with me posting it all, just give me a nod and a wink and I will ignore you with the best Anarchistic disdain I can muster. Be forwarned: 3 Gigabytes. I left out the samples, demos...

Re: Ensoniq Transwaves - complete wave lists

Ensoniq EXP-3 "The Urban Dance Project" what I believe to be the Transwaves in it: The lists of voices in EXP cards 1, 3, and 4 are available at http://www.geocities.ws/asrxcite/ aka ASRXCITE. I will attach (NOT; see below) a PDF (which I got from somewhere I can't remember) of the full list of voic...

Re: Ensoniq Transwaves - complete wave lists

Does anyone know of a list or lists of the Transwaves in the Ensoniq EXP cards? Tom Ellard in his web site says the MR Rack + EXP 3 = Fizmo (all the Transwaves) but does not provide a list of the additions.

You can say "c**p" in public. It's from someone's name. Thomas Crapper, who invented the modern ballcock flush toilet. No, I'm not making it up.

E-Mu Excelsior ROM, what is it?

I have seen two E-Mu Excelsior ROMs for sale recently. One is at Perfect Circuit Audio, an AP530-00. The other is an AP534-02 installed in an E-Mu Emulator 6400 that was sold in an eBay auction. I cannot find any documentation on Excelsior ROMs anywhere. Creative have shut down their E-Mu and Ensoni...
