Re: Sonicproject OP-X PRO II

Quick update to the OP-X Pro II story: SonicProjects is currently working on a hard coded (non-SynthEdit) version for PC and a full AU version for Mac, reportedly to be released this year 2015.

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

231469893493 This may be the most intensely ridiculous auction of this century. Do you think the Sultan of Brunai collects synthesizers? Sorry if this one is already listed. eBay links are still appearing as blank white squares in my browser. Is anyone else having that problem or is it just my set ...

Re: ENSONIQ EPS OEX-8 Output Expander Wanted

There is an OEX-8 on eBay right now. Looks to be without cable. Syntaur has the cable for this and the OEX-6 in stock. They also sell original OEX boxes with the cable, but not as cheaply.

Re: arturia v collection 2, upgrade to v collection 3???

As mentioned, and I confirm, all the older instruments in the V3 are the same exactly as in V2. If you have all the V2 instruments, upgrading to V3 will only give you three new things, the Wurlitzer V, the Spark Vintage Drum Machines, and the new Analog Lab which is not to be confused with the Analo...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

So lets just pretend it is the best cable known to man, I still don't get the point of it?!? :? I'm suspecting that if it isn't a TOTAL IMBECILE RIP-OFF, then these must be secret government carbon nano-tubule cables with zero impedence that actually gets your signal to the amp before you even play...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

I debated posting this for a second because it is not on eBay nor is it strictly a "synth" but since half the articles in Synthtopia these days are about some iPad app (it feels that way, at least) I think the iPad can fall loosely under the category of synthesizer. Anyway, this is just too ridiculo...

Re: Ebay scam risk?

Thanks everyone. Despite me telling him I would not do business without background or rep, he still bid on the item... It is DEFINITELY an attempt at a scam. So now, I have to bother with this garbage. & I could care f**k less if I get a negative feedback from this.. Im not shipping anything ...

Re: Ridiculous eBay 'Buy-it-now' and starting bids.

This one was spotted by a Sound On Sound Magazine reader and posted in their forum. I suppose these cables must be assembled by virgin nymphomaniac mermaids who work by the light of glowing unicorn horns only on the fifth day of Wenceslas of every opposing year when no conservatives are sitting in o...

OB no wan', Kenobi!

If it weren't for Sonic Projects' OP-X Pro II, I would be seriously looking toward getting an Oberheim. But not this one.

I think this is a new record.

Maybe two records, since with the discount you could buy an Alesis Andromeda and a Minimoog Voyager XL.

Re: knob encrusted midi keyboard?

Novation X-Station is also good, with the added benefit of a built-in KS synthesizer voice and 8 note polyphony and a USB audio interface with powered XLR sockets. Also Novation keyboards in general are the best around and have very good aftertouch.

Re: Using NRPN Synths (Akai Miniak) with CC Hardware Control

The interrupted NRPN value means that, there being no 14-bit negative NRPNs, the value that goes to the computer (or synth) may be listed as "-7 to 7" for example, but will show up over the cable as 16377 to 16383 and then 0 to 7. "-100 to 100" would actually be 16284 to 16383 and 0 to 100. No conti...

Synton Syrinx #1

If you are in the mood to see something very rare, head on over to eBay. Synton Syrinx serial number 1 is on sale. It's purple. This should be in the Louvre.
