Re: New relaxing track - "Winds of Remembrance"

Man, your 'alphas' are more polished and professional sounding than my finished tracks. I can't even start to think of ways this one (V2) could be improved. Reminds me a bit of one of my all-time favourite game OSTs: Aquaria - which blew me away the first time I heard it! I like the 'interlude' ver...

Re: New relaxing track - "Winds of Remembrance"

Updated to v2. I'll edit the top post to include it. Added piano instrumentation with leading reversed piano samples certain notes. Altered arrangement slightly (track is longer now and minor adjustments). Lowered the velocity of the last 3 notes in the guitar pattern, for some reason they were high...

Thank you I'm glad you think so - that is also probably one of my favorites. I was actually going to touch it up a bit soon. I've learned some new tricks that could really improve it.

Re: Relaxing cinematic piece - Zebra2

Very nice indeed. Sounds great! How much of it is the Fizmo? Haha actually none of it is the Fizmo here, I was away from my studio when I made that one, but I'll certainly inject some Fizmo into it. I usually use the Fiz for similar sounds but when I do they are much more alive & powerful than Zebr...

New relaxing track - "Winds of Remembrance"

Once again, I'm using my new Soundcloud account (meant for works in progress), David Lovas AlphaZone. Let me know what you think of this one. I tweaked one of the patches I use a lot into a pad that turned out quite nicely (I usually don't use many pads), and wrote a little progression. The rest was...

Re: Working on a new track, feedback wanted.

Thanks for the kind words guys Sounds great so far, good mix!...what would make it even better would be a cool breakdown about 1-2 mins in and a shift of melody...using perhaps chords and note changes (the bass line)...right now you have the same bass line, im not sure if you were planning on changi...

Working on a new track, "Tiger5000".

Hey guys, figured I'd start doing something new while working on new ideas here and there. I've created a new SoundCloud account where I'll upload each version of my unfinished works in progress. http://www.soundcloud.com/dlalpha. Figured AlphaZone was a neat way to indicate that the profile is mean...

Yep - I did everything within Image-Line FL Studio, using only U-he Zebra2, a plugin built into FL for the piano, and various built in plugins for the effects and equalization/mastering.

Glad you guys like it!

I could see this being the chill lead-in to an ambient/melodic DnB set.
Thanks man. Yea I was considering doing something like that, maybe getting some breakbeats or something in there to make it really interesting.

Thanks for the feedback glad you like it!

Re: New older style trance track - Cass & Slide-ish

Really like the track, almost a cinematic feel to it. The bass synths and drumbeat are tops. (I left you a comment on SC too.) Please consider enabling downloads though! I'm on a really limited connection. Streaming sucks for me. :( Thanks for the kind words glad you enjoyed it. I'll enable downloa...
