Re: need a sequencer

Just be sure to watch out for dodgy buttons on the RM1x. Yeah, I was offered one with a dodgy button a while ago. I passed because I had no idea how difficult it was to repair. I've been looking at the emu command stations as they seem to fill my sequencing requirements a little better than the rm1...

Re: need a sequencer

.Its internal arp is just not tied to MIDI unless you record its internal arp into it So the arp function and midi are separate within the rm1x, but are you saying you can record/convert an arp passage into midi within the rm1x and then sequence other gear that way? Or am I interpreting this wrong,...

Re: need a sequencer

Though you can record your arp lines and then sequence them Do you mean record the arp lines generated by an external synth or the rm1x? So can you still program and arp line on the rm1x and then have it play on an external synth, or will it only play the internal rm1x sounds. Not being able to pla...

Re: need a sequencer

How many MIDI channels do you want to sequence?
At least 2-3 ideally. Not a deal break though.
E-mu Command stations fit the bill. XL-7, MP-7, or PX-7
Looks interesting. I don't t think I've ever seen any of the command stations for sale in my area.

Re: need a sequencer

It would have to be the emx models though, right? Can't say I've really dug into the manuals, but from what I can gather the other models have fairly basic step sequencers - i.e. no aprregiator or other functions.

need a sequencer

Any recommendations for a midi sequencer under $400? I'm looking for something to fill the gap left by an mpc2000xl, namely step sequencing and apreggio's, and anything else. Technically you can step sequence on the 2000xl but it doesn't have 16 dedicated buttons and can be long winded depending on ...

DX7 mk1 sysex

Is it possible to control the dx7 mk1 with a sysex controller? I've searched around but all I could find was someone mentioning that it was possible but the sound would cut off when controlling parameters which made it useless for real-time control. I was also unable to find any documentation for sy...

Re: dead keys esq-1

Auction updated with the following information: **My hubby had a closed look and he thinks the syth may need a new internal battery since 3 of the keys aren't working and as you continue to play a couple other keys stop playing. He tried to reset the programming and looke online and that was the onl...

Re: dead keys esq-1

Just a quick question, seeing as you guys seem to know the actual psychical keyboard pretty well. Given I have no other information on the esq for sale other than three keys are not working, what do you think my chances of repair are?

Re: dead keys esq-1

Thanks for the reply.

Probably leaning towards holding out for one that's fully functional, just thought maybe there was something I could ask them to check. Good info though if I ever run into the problem again. Cheers.

dead keys esq-1

Hi, I'm looking to for an esq-1. There's one currently on ebay in my area: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250759095141&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:1123 , though it has issues with three keys. According to seller: No sound from the last 3 keys at the highest octave (on the right e...
