Re: jx-3p + not what to do when buying a jx-3p

How much money was it? How much time do you have to play with it? It's too painful to relate the story. I'm stuck with it now so I'll just to have to try and get it going or use it for parts. The dead keys being in a pattern like that sounds like a keyboard matrix issue to me... Yeah I figured this...

Re: jx-3p dead keys + more! (pic)

Damn I wish I had had more time to get info on this. I got to test it briefly and found there were a keys not working as described. Unfortunately I didn't know how to program it well enough. I did the voice test and all 6 we were working, so I thought it looked pretty good it was just the key contac...

jx-3p + not what to do when buying a jx-3p

Going to look at a jx-3p tomorrow and apparently it has several dead keys. I have no more information than that until I get to look at it. What tests can I do to try and figure out what the problem might be? I'm obviously hoping it's something simple like dirty contacts. Is this the sort of problem ...

Re: Really want this ESQ-1! has issues, looking for guidance

I think synthparts is right. Wait and find one that's fully tested and working. The savings you make on one with issues may be a bad investment in the long run. I have the more plastic model of esq-1 right now and I have heard that the buttons/screen can be more prone to dieing for some reason.

Re: ESQ-1 ARPEGIATTOR??????????

There's no reason the esq-1 won't accept any arp midi messages. Obviously you have to the right channels setup and the moog able to send the arp data via midi.

You should use your command station to send arps to the esq-1. Its arpreggiator is quite deep.

mc-909 sampling question

Quick question for those experienced with the mc-909.. Is it possible to sample and have it record a length predetermined by the sequencer and then have it automatically place the sample into the composition with? The rs-7000 has this sampling feature called 'kit+note' - which if the above made no s...

Re: ground loop? clicky noise

Problem solved. Well not solved, but gone. Unplugged a printer that had recently been put in the room, and the noise is gone. :ugeek:

ground loop? clicky noise

Didn't change anything about my setup and yesterday noticed a clicking noise coming through the speakers. I narrowed it down to when the mixer (powered on or off) which is connected to the a preamp. Switched out all the cables and power cords and moved them away from any interferences/tried changing...

Re: mpc 3000

The weird glitches seem to happen when I load a .pgm file from a disk. Not sure if its anything to do with the mpc - if the files are getting corrupted or what-have-you, would the mpc still freak out like that? I figured they would just not work. The sluggish track changes happen all the time, even ...

mpc 3000

Anyone know if the 3000 is a little slow at changing tracks? Mine is a bit sluggish, you have to wait as it updates every time switch tracks (just a second or so). Same with changing channel/type settings. Everything else is much faster. Not a huge deal but can't remember it being slow on the mpc 60...

Re: KORG ESX-1 - Loose Master Volume Knob - any solution ?

Well it seems soldered in place fine; there's no movement in the legs. It's the middle shaft part that's wobbly.

I can see why you've put this off for 5 years. :)

If I do get replacements I'll get a few and send one your way.

Thanks, makes sense. I would never have thought to pull the plastic off. It's stuck down really well!
