Re: OBXd Excellent Oberheim Emulation

this thing sounds excellent. can't compare it to the OPX plugin or a real OB, but it's got a lot of character for a soft synth

How to become an eletropop musician

Found this gem on youtube (not sure if this goes here or in off topic).

Re: UAD Apollo Twin

I saw that! looks like MOTU & Zoom also put out thunderbolt interfaces at namm.
But the apollo twin... 2x in + 4x out and UAD processing for for $700-$900... my firewire duet is suddenly looking slightly old & crusty

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams

So if last year was the year of analog, maybe this year (or next year) will be the year of modular.
Not to say there isn't already a big following. but it's always seemed kind of the "cool kid's" territory. Not quite mainstream.
just a thought.

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams

we always want a moog poly. I think a new breed of moog modular would be more along what moog is making right now :D

And personally I wouldn't mind seeing something new from access. A Ti3 or a virtual modular system (nord g2 anyone?).

Thoughts? Opinions? anyone else tried it out?
It's an interesting approach to music in the cloud.

i'll probably be getting mainstage 3 first due to finances but also because i'd like to try out that new interface. not to mention, getting my hands on some of those new plugins. I'm excited.

Hosa midi to usb, nord lead 2x & logic 9

I recently ordered a hosa usb to midi cable (the newer one with the red & black cables). I'm trying to connect my nord lead to logic with it. When ever I send it midi from logic, it bugs out. it only plays the higher notes of chords and also sustains notes infinitely (sometimes even if the nord is i...
