Re: Roland sbx-1 sync box

Yea that 600 dollars is AUD and is a recommended retail price. It will be a lot cheaper in most other countries and obviously things can always be found for considerably less then their rrp.

@ Jorvik
Good stuff! cheers for the demo ;) .

How well do you reckon it emulates the orginal 70s machines? Do you think its more for emulation, weird/original string sounds or both?

Re: Synths used in Joy Division’s In a Lonely Place & other

My bets are on the Arp Omni. I know that Joy Division had ceased to exist by the Ceremony/Lonely Place single, though both are Joy Division songs. I know that some in the band were pretty broke at that point, so am guessing they didn't have the Prophet 5 yet... You should try and ask them? You don't...

Re: Waldorf Streichfett

Looks like waldorf are nearly ready to ship with the Streichfett. There is a proper demo of the finished product. http://www.waldorf-music.info/streichfett-overview There is also a marketing video in a similar vein to Korg and Roland's marketing videos surrounding their more recent releases. https:/...

Re: Dave Smith Modular

Besides, the tip-top z2040 or doepfer A-122 sound more 'prophet' than anything with a PA397 in it, and they've both been out for years. Well my ESQ-1 has the same chip as the A-122 (CEM 3397) and I assure you it sounds absolutely nothing like a prophet 05  . The ESQ uses the CEM3389 and the A-...

Nah, comparing the CEM3320 with the PA397 is more like comparing a E60 model Corolla with a E70 model.
