possibly stupid question RE:power switches

i was wondering, if its ok to leave all my stuff 'switched on' and just use the wall or powerboard switch to turn everything on at once? obviously i will have the speakers on a different powerboard, so all the synths and mixers will come on together, then the speakers later. is this like... ok? ( i ...

Re: complete newby looking to buy some gear

definitely the programming side of things with all those 4 just did my head in! i have actually held onto the D50 and D80, i fell like there might be some sort of sonic quality in those that i could use. its a struggle to get out of preset land though, its really hard when you have no real concept o...

Re: v-synth a good sampler?

i wont be using it for anything live, just fiddling with it drunk in my wannabe studio. as far as sequencing goes i bought an e-mu xl7 command station which i think has some kind of sequencer on it? and from reading about it, i think the xl7 will force me to setup a con

Re: v-synth a good sampler?

ok sweet thats what i wanted to hear :) i dont mind spending the money if its going to be the right tool for the job. is the original v-synth going to be fine, or should i pay a bit more for the GT model? and just curious what a decent going price would be for one of these?

cheers :)

Re: roland d110 problems!

madness is right  sound is a real brain bender when you actually stop and take a look at it! i am bidding on a jv-90 to use as a midi controller, so hopefully that will do the trick? the guy said he had never used, he bought it secondhand from someone shutting down a studio, and then never go...

roland d110 problems!
