Re: A question about roland sh201

sh201 is not a great synth, it has some appealing features but the sound quality is just plain sucky. I bought one new a few years ago - it was my first synth so I didnt know any better, finally sold it a few weeks ago. the sh2 is monophonic, if you want something super similar but modernised you mi...

Re: Korg Radias or....? recommendations plz

The Omega's look to have incremental preset scrolling.. re: Vermona Perfourmer...yea wrong synth for the job, im quite adept at programming (i think!) but certain songs require jumping from grimey lfo'd ring mod tones to epics strings to slow warm bass tones in split seconds so getting all up in tru...

Re: Korg Radias or....? recommendations plz

yea there's a v-synth for $1500 up at the moment I see, gonna relax and try tweaking the radias to do some ugly mutating noises first though, maybe it'll do I'm after - they seem to be going for 500-600 on ebay too which is a whole lot for not much. Re: Korg Radias or....? recommendations plz

V synth is too pricey in Aus ($4000+) think im gonna have to find a radias to try out in a store here.. Also, I had another thought - Could I get a little midi pads controller thingy and use that to send midi program change msgs? Routed like so - Moog LP midi out>midi controller midi in>midi thru to...

Re: What Synth is Right For Me?

+1 for Moog Little Phatty or Moog voyager,
they'll get you your big analog bass and leads

since you've got $$ to burn you can always extend the moogs into polyphony with Slim Phattys too..

or,
there's the Dave Smith Poly-evolver, which I have been lusting over for a while

Korg Radias or....? recommendations plz

hey folks, need a hand finding the perfect unit for my live rig, • needs at least 4 voices of polyphony with 2 timbres • random preset select buttons (rather than scrolling through them incrementally) • analog sounds are my preference but im certainly not opposed to a good VA • no keyboard preferabl...

Re: Korg: Radias vs MS2000

rad, sounds like a big improvement over the ms2000. i'd ditch the ms2000 if I aquired a radias..considering it's basically the same thing upgraded. Have considered the Blofield previously, but im pretty keen on super knobby synths..to me programming synths is the most enjoyable part! I hate having t...

Re: Korg: Radias vs MS2000

Hi, digging up this thread for my first post here. Currently I have an ms2000r which I use live - controlled by a moog little phatty, mostly for layered sounds on top of the moog bass (strings in the background, arps etc etc). Im quite fond of it, I've got some fairly elaborate moving mutating patch...
