I didnt know about the Kraftzwerg, looks pretty boss!
Maybe i'll do that and then just fill a rack with CV controlled effects - have been itching for a cv controlled delay for a long time!

Re: Modular synth and moog little phatty

wow the Tip Top case is cheap! Oh no...I feel the need to start a modular coming on.. but seriously...have been thinking about it for a while, but the amount of options are pretty intimidating.. I think i'd like to build a fairly basic but capable synth to begin with before I look at crazier...

Re: New DSI instrument!

so..uhh...back to what I was asking, Tempest owners out there - can it cover the Little Phatty's territory as a standalone synth? ignoring the appeal of the signature Moog sound for second..(I do like the sound of the Mopho too) Or would you hang onto the Phatty and take the extra time to save up th...

Re: New DSI instrument!

Curious to hear from people who've experimented with the Tempest as a stand-alone synth. I play bass synth in a band, could I use this as a synth module instead of the Moog Phatty? Then as a drum machine/synth in my solo project.. what im getting at is.. do I sell my Moog Little Phatty and my Korg E...

Re: sh-201

I had one and sold it off as well..
The sound quality was very average, lots of digital distortion and artifacts,
build quality was also pretty average.

I tried the new Roland GAIA, IMO it's a big improvement in sound and quality..

Re: New Moog apparently...

smart move from Moog,
cheap unit to give the laptop/sequencer crowd that 'moog' sound..
i'd buy one if I didnt already have a little phatty

might still buy one :D

edit - does the taurus sound differ from the phatty at all?

Re: Reverb Advice - Ensoniq dp4+

oh well, I have it now, played with it for about 6 hours - definitely useable. the presets are just about all useless, i've set up my own preset for use with my Electribe with drums/bass routed to a compressor and a phaser (for the occasional part) and leads routed to a large plate reverb and chorus...
