Re: Which Synth matches this description?
You know, guys...the other contributors to this thread have easily understood the discussion and have advanced the topic greatly. Internet forums are notoriously imperfect, which means there are always one or two who insist on focussing the discussion on matters which are either largely irrelevant, ...

Re: Need help looking 4 a new synth
Ay up, mate. Your thread is almost the same as mine: http://www.vintagesynth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=63088 Except you are including digital synths in your search, and this gives you loads more options than what I found. Although if you want a sound like the Dark Energy then you will have to s...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
occasionally..... 170662550761 if you want something from the states, I'm sure someone around here can do you the favor of getting it to you. I know i would. ye gods! $1000 for the keyboard version?? Wow...it really goes to show how much difference geographical-origin makes. The German synths are a...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
you could polychain 3-4 Shruthi-1's for that price, but you'd be back to your "DCO"s ;) at least the vca/filter are analog. no kb tho. I know that's a must. just putting it out there. plus you'd have to build them...... :) Interesting suggestion, samuraipizzacat29 ...but a little too far out for me...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
yeah i think you'll find it in the end. it's all very subjective and what works for some might not work for everyone. it also depends what you want to do with the synths too. i think the alpha juno is a great synth but i think you're maybe selling the jx8-10 mks70 (not to mention mks30-jx3p) a litt...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
if you haven't already, have a scout on the sequencer.de site they often have fair prices amongst the forum dwellers. I'm a regular on that site but have lost a little faith recently as I bought two Polysixes from forum colleagues which turned out to have more issues than advertised. My last Ebay b...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
well 500 euros does give you a broader selection. so far i haven't seen any perfourmers for 450-500 euros, that seems like a pretty good deal actually... I recommend you register at amazona.de and check out their average price list (called "Syntacheles"), it's the most reliable and accurate I've se...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
obviously you're going to have to make some compromises. sounds to me like you just need to improve your synth programing abilities. You just love picking the smallest insignificant holes in my post, dont you? dismissing exchange rates isn't exactly a small hole, nor is it insignificant. especially...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
The smallest VCO poly I could think of is the AKAI VX600, but they are hard to find. http://www.vintagesynth.com/akai/vx600.php Now that is a great tip! Finally a candidate I didn't know about which matches my description... I like the look of this. . Cheers! at $1200 it wasn't that appealing :? Bl...

Re: DEEP bass on an Alpha Juno 2
Did you read any of the preceding comments? I clearly wasn't talking about a user-function, but the internal hardware, the details of which Solderman clarified. Aaah...sorry, my bad. I did read the thread but clearly my brain didn't understand what yous were talking about. I've re-read it and I thi...

Re: DEEP bass on an Alpha Juno 2
"deep bass" on an alpha juno to me is an oxymoron, the oscillators are high-pass filtered or something. Just turn the HPF off. My statement is based on the HPF being off. Eh? Well then your comment makes absolutely zero sense. This isn't Twin Peaks, this is just a thread on a synth forum.

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
Dave Smith isn't in Prepal because the company didn't exist the last time Prepal was updated. Prepal hasn't been updated for around 8-10 years, it's not in any way accurate. Oh right, haha! I'll delete Prepal from my bookmarks then. €≠$, so saying 500 of your local currency is gonna get you a whole...

Re: Vermona Perfourmer vs DSI Tetra
It's an experimental soundscape, not a dance or pop track. Then we have the same taste in music :hifi: Sounds strange and interesting. Some Floydian touches too. I like the vibe and the sound. The snare drum sound in the first few minutes (comes in later on too) was a little offputting, tho'...it's...

Re: Which Synth matches this description?
The Tetra sounds really good but you've got eight parameters available to you and if you want to tweak anything else you need to reassign one of the four assignable encoders to it via scrolling another encoder, and then once you've done that you need to scroll again to get it back to where it was b...
