Re: Roland HS-60 VS. Korg DW-8000

So much hating on the Juno line. I think they sound great.

Re: Akai AX-60 vs. Juno 60

I used to own a Juno 60, which I foolishly sold (now have a 106, which is also nice after I acetoned the voice chips). I also have a (OK, I admit it, two) Prophet 600s. They are all over eBay, at wildly varying prices (be patient). They complement each other very well. The Prophet is lush and dark, ...

Mini Korg 700 MIDI?

I have a Mini Korg 700 that I'd like to get fitted out with MIDI. I saw this, the Synhouse MIDIJACK II:

Re: Anyone own Moog Rogue serial number 3289 ?

Reminds me of the Prophet 600 that I bought new in 1983, which I saved up for a year to get. I traded it away when moving overseas a few years later. Cleaning out my mom's house last month I found its box in the attic. There was a little part of me that fantasized the synth was still in there. Where...

Re: Korg Poly 800 vs. Yamaha Cs.10

I like my Poly 800. It's good for strings and brass and some noises. The sound is a bit "cheesy" -- midrangey perhaps? With the weird waveforms it's tricky to program. And there's only one filter for all the voices. But the six-stage envelopes could be great for expert programmers. The Moog Slayer m...
