Cody P and Sammy B - new single + remix kit out now

Hey I realize the your-own-material section doesn't get much attention but my band put out our first single for our new album, and we've put together a remix kit if you'd like to mangle it in any way. You can hear it at http://codypandsammyb.bandcamp.com/album/rain-falls-remix-kit and the remix kit ...

Re: digitech stomp shop

if they released a developer's kit for it, maybe. but the only-buy-from-digitech thing just makes me think of all the awful pedals they've put out since harman took over DOD.

Re: Korg Trident vs FC-7 expression pedal

Do you have the Trident manual? What pedal does Korg say should be used? Right, I just checked and it mentions the MS-01 pedal. It sounds like I could have a hard time finding that. The FC-7 should work with the VCF ins but I'd try a pedal with a 10K sweep for the 0-5v sockets. A Moog EP-2 or a Bos...

The FC-7 should work with the VCF ins but I'd try a pedal with a 10K sweep for the 0-5v sockets. A Moog EP-2 or a Boss/Roland expression pedal or a DOD fx17.

Re: Should I use Bass or Guitar pedals with my synth?

which isn't to say that there aren't good or unique sounding multi's out there but the appeal of pedals is it's a modular effects line. Something like an alesis quadraverb would be what you're looking for if you want tons of stuff, configurable, and ready for synth use.

Re: Live Setup Complications...

split the signals after the synths to a separate mixer that doesn't screw with your computer. Or DI each synth and run the parallel jack into the firewire box, cut all your dry signal in ableton and run the wet out/loops in its own DI Stereo DIs.... good luck. Most venues have their PAs set up in gl...

Re: Synths everyone has used?

Depends on how you define "used," I guess. I mean, I've never recorded or performed with a Moog Little Phatty, but I'd be surprised if there was a member of this forum who hasn't ever messed around with one at a Guitar Center (as I did). my GC doesn't stock moog stuff All we have are s**t tons of k...

Re: Synth to buy as an incentive to not buy synths

What do you guys think about the Virus TI? I realize not as much is available in the way of samples/sample mangling, but I'm not flipping the Juno-D or the ESX1 for this so would it be a good investment over the "synth" samples of the Juno-D (as opposed to the Kronos or V-synth)?

Re: Synth to buy as an incentive to not buy synths

OK, I'm surprised no one yet has suggesting getting a new girlfriend instead . . . : ) But seriously - I second the notion that the V Synth is one badass instrument. However it's more intended for VA and sound designing. I don't recall having come across a good acoustic piano patch on it. But don't...

Re: digital vs. analog drums regarding mixing

You could use the ramp gate for the kicks, rather than the abrupt square gate. I've had similar issues on my ESX1. Another option you could do with the EMX1 is use the modulation control on the triggered setting assigned to the amplitude. Basically gets you a second volume envelope so you can have a...

Re: Winter NAMM 2012

I've seen the new Casio synth described on another site as a "lead and groove oriented hybrid synth". And its model number is XW-P1. Could it be that XW = 'Cross-Wave' ? If it's a 'cross-wave hybrid' synth then maybe it has something in common with the FZ-1? (I'm only speculating wildly here.) but ...
