Re: Silent indifference -MIDERA- Yamaha RS7000 groovebox ele
You can sell me your MC808 at a nominal fee  . It was my first hardware and also the reason I bought the RS7000 and the Proteus 2500 command station. I don't know...I think all of these tools are instruments and either they are made for you to coax a good signal out of them or they are not. I t...

Re: Silent indifference -MIDERA- Yamaha RS7000 groovebox ele
it is amazing how much you can coax from the RS7000. While it is not the best sounding, it does have assorted bread and butter waveforms that can combine into some very deep sounding samples. The most major drawback is the audio outputs...because the expansion board can be very difficult to find. Wh...

DJ Sorce-1: Besides the SP-303, 404, and MPC 200, what other equipment stands out to you?...it should say MPC 2000, right?

Re: midi question on Yamaha Su 700
You are welcome. Most of the time i see people using it for hiphop as an mpc alternative...but there are some really interesting things is does...and you just have to have one and use it know know what i am talking about. I want to replace the floppy with a floppy emulator. I love recording myself p...

Re: midi question on Yamaha Su 700
Yes but you have to set it up right. on of two ways. One it to copy the sample across to the other related pads and then to adjust the pitch. eazy peezy. the other is to configure it in the midi section...so the a cc on a master sequencer dictates the pitch setting on the su700. You then need to ste...

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
Some sick psychopath in me just wants to chain link 4 of the volca keys and two of the volca basses into a polyphonic monster and feed the outputs into guitar pedals...kinda like a modular groovebox approach... With the beats...I am not so sure...there are lots of elements and playability...but no o...

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
Will you be able to do panning on the volca beats? So far I have not seen any controls to control the panning of each element...which can be a bit restrictive for some.

Re: Need 'all in one' digital multitrack recorder recommenda
I enjoy my recently acquired yamaha aw-4416. what I love about it is that I have dual compression...and the routing is just awesome, and it has midi control. By dual compression I mean I can take a input into two buses and on one I can apply side chain and another I can use it for parallel compressi...

Check out the Roland RC505...it looks cool and is table top...it could be just what you are looking for.

Re: Real time sampling in v-synth?
this is definitely going into "looper" territory. Realtime sampling is what live loopers are all about. KP3, electrix repeater and the roland RC505 are the beast that come to mind...standard samplers don't let you do this in a live context.

Re: Yamaha Rs7000 vs. Su700
The SU is extremely fun, IMO, and the effects are good. I love the way this box sounds. It's the easiest sampler I've used when it comes to capturing loops on the fly, as long as your timing is good. BUT The load times border on what some would call "crippling" and that's IF you have the SCSI board...

Hello vintagesynth crew. I made this liveset a couple of days ago with the RS7000, the mc808 and one of the new steps I am taking is using ableton as a vst synth rack. By sending the midi from a couple of channels of the RS7000 to ableton, I was able to get a wavetable synth via the AM freehand VST,...

Re: Waldorf Blofeld vs. Shruthli-1
ok thank for clearing that up. Which one sounds better, though? I am really eyeballing them for the form factor...in regards to performance synths it would be great to have them connected to the rs7000....mainly because they are so TINY...hooked up to a proper sequencer you could really get some ama...

Waldorf Blofeld vs. Shruthli-1
I have heard nothing but good things from each of these synths and I would like to settle on one of them. I am so far impressed by the form factor of both devices(both are small and pack a wallop), and that each seems to have modern functionalities like mod matrixes, etc. So what does the vintagesyn...
