Re: Yamaha RS7000 vs. MPC 60
I am sorry to ask again. Did the sysex dump interval get set to 0 on the rs7000? the default is 300 millisecs. :geek: I noticed this caused hiccup and drift and when set to zero I don't experience any drift. The same is true for the rmx1. the same is also true for the command stations (300 milliseco...

Re: Yamaha RS7000 vs. MPC 60
Also in regards to programming a command stations synth engine, GET PRODEUTUM . I edit ever sound on my desktop. The two line interface is ok for quick edits, but i need a monitor to work with this beast. Prodatum crashed miserably.

Re: Yamaha RS7000 vs. MPC 60
Ummmmmm. My rs7000 is my midi brain. My question before any test is if the sysex dump is at 000(it defaults at 300 millisecs) next are u using both ports? For instance i use midi out b to sequence and midi a to start...or vice versa. No hiccups i am happy. Works really nice with mc808 and vst(no con...

Re: MIDI/Hardware Advice for a Software Guy
I am among the fortunate. I was able to acquire my rs7000 from this forum. It is just so awesome. Not a day goes by where I don't tinker with it. I have it routed to my MC808 and my software synths in ableton...particularly DIVA. It makes me isolate so much. Absolutely no need to go out and see frie...

Downtempo techno set @ 110 BPM
Live set I recorded with the MC808 and the Yamaha RS7000. 110bpm downtempo techno. African percusions and alien sounding synths!
Hope you all enjoy . Blessings!

Re: RS7000 and MC808 video channels.
If you guys have any specific questions or need for demos on aspects of my hardware, let me know. in this video I wanted to show the advantage of recording from the much maligned MC808 into the RS7000, which gives you access to the realtime remix functions of the RS7000 and also provides you with wh...

RS7000 and MC808 video channels.
hey I am starting a channel for my favorite performance synths, the RS7000 and the MC808. I will try and keep pumping a dynamic balance of technical how-to/worflow videos, live performance from the home studio, experimentation, and general philosophy and outlook on vintage synths spiced with humor a...

Grooveboxin with my rs7000
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqjlyvw70M4 just me getting down with a pattern I wrote for the rs7000...I usually write a pattern and work on it til my head is bobbin' ...then once I am out of my chair I can determine whether or not to keep it or go back to the drawing board. best wishes to all vi...

Re: Dub Production
the first vinyl I started collecting. Magnificent genre of music. historically this was where the "remix" was invented. So while musically the instrumentation and the mixdown is incredibly important...a little considered aspect is that they were taking finished songs and making b-sides. So when one ...

Re: Contemporary analog music
I would say drawing a line in the year 1980 is a little short sighted, some of the all time greatest dance floor classics were produced in the early 1980s that said if you're after purely electronic for the sake of electronic you're probably correct that much of whats made after 1980 isn't as inter...

Re: best way to sync hardware in ableton
Yes but then all those other vintagesynth members who have an rs7000 or different hardware sequencers may not be privvy to the knowledge...
besides...in the ableton forums the talk tends to be software specific. ... thank you both for your input....if I find another solution I will post.
