Re: Re-capped the power board on my OB-8, now frozen! Help

Ok, I checked with AC at the pins and it fluctuates from overload to 233v Are you sure it was 233 Volts ? What exactly did you measure ? I'm sure it is not correct; the meter was going nuts, it was all over the place and then hit OL, and cycled through voltages again. Please take it to the tech so ...

And the 2 extra voices, 5-octave keyboard, individual voice panning pots, dual patch splitting and layering capability...

Re: Oberheim OB-8 Frustrations

The OB-8 is one of the most reliable vintage synths (much more so than the previous OB polys). There's a few common failures that an experienced OB-8 tech should know like replacing the 5V bridge rectifier, CMOS chip replacements (mostly 4051s), and general pot/button cleaning. They should also be a...

Re: What synths were used in these songs?

Maybe he meant SOS Band's S.O.S. (much better than Abba) :D

Probably Minimoog bass and Odyssey (w/PPC vibrato) for the lead.

Re: Prophet 600 problem

The main voice chips (CEM3340, CEM3360, and CEM3372) are all socketed so you can try swapping them around. If you need any I have all of them in stock.
